Golden appearance with a bit of a skunky aroma. High carbonation so it doesn’t go down as smooth as some other beers but is still very refreshing. One of the better lagers out there.

Good every-day beer. Some personality to it! Better than what Molson and Labatt usually offer in Quebec :)

Appearance: medium gold with a creamy bright white head that lingers, leaving decent lacing. Aroma: fresh white bread, notes of cut grass, drying hay and saaz pepperyness. Taste: buttery, slightly sweet, with good balancing notes of crisp, lively and peppery hops. Finish: smooth and yet crisp, clean, and surprisingly dry. Notes: I normally don’t care for mass produced pale lagers. However, I find Stella mystifyingly enjoyable. It’s a little fuller-bodied and more flavorful than most beers of this type. It doesn’t set the world on fire, but it’s good in a pinch if selection is limited.

UPDATED: DEC 8, 2011 A very good pilsener. Here in Norway, our lagers are not that great. This is a very decent lager, with a sweet malty note to it.

Draft, poured a golden color, lite head. Crisp barley malt aroma, sligth grass. Lite bitter and lite sweetness. Lite bodied, ave carbonation. Very smooth and crisp, refreshing. Just a bitter nip at the end. Good stuff.

Aroma: Lots of green hops, grass or floral, with hints of bready malt underneath. Appearance: Pale, sparkling gold with frothy white head that dissipated too quickly. Taste: Medium sweetness, medium sourness--not unpleasant, but an odd aftertaste. Palate: Light-Medium Body, creamy texture, lively carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: Not too impressed. It’s drinkable, but I wouldn’t stock my fridge with it.
