3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Enjoyed this one (actually two) on my first night in Cairo, Egypt - Today. What a glorious City, and the beer could not have tasted finer for the set and setting. A pale yellow color with a smooth clean finish and a light malt and corn base. Yum. Likely would not have the same reaction out of context, but isn’t rating all contextual.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Clear yellow color, short frothy head. Aroma of grass, some hop, hay, some malt. Bit dry grassy taste. Typical mediterranean pale lager. Not bad when it’s hot outside.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Can. Rather clear and weak overall, a bit skunky as well. A friend brought it back from an Egypt trip. Found it a bit better than the Luxor, but not as good as Meister. Not too impressed with Egyptian beer.

UPDATED: SEP 13, 2007 Bottled 0,50L. Limpid yellow color, much pale with a light fizz. Light head of medium persistence. Considerably aroma of cereals, dampen straw and grain. Slightly watery taste, prickly but with an extinguishing and dull bitter.

1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Kind of skunky, but this is real Egyptian beer! I drank the hell out of this average brew when I was in Cairo, and can’t neccessarily say thjat I enjoyed it, but it was a cool "cultural experience"

Can. Clear, pale yellow-golden with a small, white head. Weak aroma with grain and bread-notes. Malty and grainy flavor - bad! Watery body. A really bad one. (060929)

1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Thanks to my friend Lydia for bringing this back from Egypt! Aroma is initially major skunk, this is a typical light-struck pilsner in a green bottle. Once the skunk goes away a bit I get a touch of light honey perfume. Flavor is very light, with a touch of light malt flavor with some light honey notes. Light body, with medium carbonation and a mouthfilling texture.
