2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
50 cl. Many thanks to Frank for bringing it from Egypt. Keinerlei Geruch. Der Antrunk ist mild-wässrig, schön frisch. Der Hauptteil ist angenehm erfrischend, kaum Körper vorhanden. Simpel, aber gut erfrischend!

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
12oz can brought back to Serbia by my close friend Andy, so many thanks. Another odd but predictable national lager from a less than obvious beer drinking society. Perfectly innocuous pale sweet later, with some nice characteristics. refreshing and tasty while being wet carboard and sour grapes. I’m sure in context this is refreshing and fine but from a small can in Belgrade it just is an open question mark. I would enjoy trying this in the beer’s natural habitat soon.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Golden draft with thin white head. Tastes like a normal pilsner. Smooth and malty. No hops. Hard to even say anything good or bad about it

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell, London during the Birthday Celebration of Jack & Leighton - thanks to Lyoli for sourcing this beauty out of Cairo! Pours perfectly clear yellow with a fine, white froth. Nose of clowers, corn, white bread and hay. Light sweet flavor with some cereal, white bread, corn, white sugar. Light bodied with medium carbonation. Sweet finish, lightly doughy, with bits of cereal, corn, slighty paper. Not too bad, though certainly not in the upper echelons of pale lagers.

Bottle thanks to Leighton at Jack and Leightons birthday pleasantries, 13/04/13.
Clear pale blonde with a thin off white head that dissipates to a film.
Nose is bland pale malts, light citrus, ash, piss.
Taste comprises pale malt lite, sugars, very faint caramel, thin thin thin and bereft of anything much.
Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finale.
Bland and cack !

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Big thanks to Mrs Leighton for scoring this pale lager whale. The pour’s gold with a tiny head. The aroma’s of piss, some artificial sweetness. Candy corn and stewed apple. The taste is pretty similar. More apple. Artificial and nasty tasting. Pretty much what you’d expect. Light body, fizzy. Overall, not good.

1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
50cl bottle shared by Leighton at CBC Clerkenwell. It pours a clean golden color with a small white head. Aroma is fart, anus, poop in a grain field. Taste is skunked grains and cabbage. You can feel the mummy coming out of the glass. A cool egyptian tick that comes at a price.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
1) Part bottle decanted by waiter, first night in Egypt. Bright gold with a loose bathfoam collar. Pleasant grass and rabbit tray aroma, at first. Then metal and honey. Aggressive popcorn, metallic, hay-like cardboard taste..disjointed bitterness. 42427.
2) Can. Slick of head. Revolting glue, almond and root vegetable aroma. Nothing but envelope adhesive and corn on the..ahem, ’palate’. Tipper. Piss poor.
3) Chilled bottles upturned theatrically by waiter into Luxor weizens in Naama Bay. Crisp and refreshing with candy, spun sugar and weak grassy notes. Enjoyable. 535310.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Big white head. Clear pale yellow body. Light sugary aroma with vague candy notes. Dry mealy sugary perfumy taste. Mid-to-light body. Mealy mouthfeel. Dry mealy vaguely fruity aftertaste. Well. Not bad, but not really enjoyable, either. (0.5l can, gift from the in-laws.)
