bottle - Egypt. pours very pale yellow, very skunky lager, little or no carbonation. I still remember vividly the first time I drank this brew many years ago when I was stationed in the Sinai, we had a hard time finishing it. But the fact that it was cheap is what made us drink it (after downing a couple of shots of vodka first of course)

Bottle hand carried back from Egypt by my student! Aroma of skunk, corn, light malt, grassy hops. Light flavor: grassy hops are the best part. Malt character near zero. Light and refreshing, though very plain. Decent enough and inoffensive.

I had it in both bottles and in cans, and I have to say that the bottled in a whole lot better. Clear gold/yellow, and a small white head. Aroma is similar to the skunky Heineken aroma. Taste has some of the vegetal thing all up in it, along with a bit of bitters thrown in. Hop notes are present, but subdued. Rather refreshing beer. So long as it is out of the bottle, this is in my opinion far and by the best beer I sampled in Egpyt.

Bottle 0,5 l. Pale golden, white head. Nose has malts, some floral elements. Flavor is nicely malty with faint hoppiness, but mostly as regular a lager as a lager can be. Nothing offending, not even metal, which actually makes this a fairly good and well crafted beer.

thanks Rasmus B. for bringing this home from Egypt. clear yellow, small white head. faint lager aroma, faint citrussy. flavor is dry, faint, alc. well hidden. in fact all taste well hidden, tastes like sparkling water with some beer flavor added ;-). ends slightly bitter. would work well as a thirst quencher in the baking sun, but so would a mineral water with citrus.

Pale lager with strong aroma. Quite light and thin. Flavour is metallic and slightly hoppy.

500 ml bottle in Egypt. Its smooth, and it doesnt taste like crap, but it isnt exactly something pleasant to be drinking. Its heavily carbonated and extremely watered down though...cant drink much of it at all.

Transparent golden color with a small head that disappears almost immediately. Weak aroma and taste, thin mouthfeel. I guess it might work when its hot weather outside.

Bottle 0,5l. Thanks to Christina for bringing this all the way from Egypt! Pale golden colored. A rapidly disappearing creamy head. Strong metallic aroma. Soft fruity flavor with a dry bitter aftertaste. Surprisingly OK.

Thanks to Finn for providing a 500ml green bottle of this one. Pours a clear, straw coloured body with a quickly diminishing, white head. Aroma of discreet grainy malts and a touch of acid grass behind. Drying citric hints in flavour. Clean and very dry in the mouth. Medium to thin bodied. Soft carbonated Some refreshments (shared at a gathering in Tromsø, 23.04.2009).
