ippopotamo36 (1635) - Rome, ITALY - SEP 28, 2015
At the multi-national tasting held in Rome-Italy on 29/08/2015 (Jow, Mortlach, ippopotamo36 and Marco). Mini can courtesy of Vlada, ciao Vlada! Pours clear reddish brown color, small ivory head going down in a blink. Nose: salty, a bit too flat, roasted malts. Mouth: flat, dry, cola, boring. Good for the tick tough.

Clear yellow color with okay head. Very watery beer with some bitter hops and slightly malty.

IslandHaole (1228) - Mililani, Hawaii, USA - FEB 23, 2004
Produced Jan '01: A deep gold in color with a short lived beige head. Light sweet aroma, crystal malts?? A mild sweetness with an oaky middle, some hop bitterness lingers, but not for too long. This is much better than most of the Japanese macro lagers I've had. A rare treat and a pleasant surprise to find on my recent "Beer raid" to Hachinohe City. Look for this one!

Bottle in Tunisia. Much better then Celtia, although very similar - this beer is also a light "Mediterranean" lager - the overall taste is composed of lemon, grass and, like Celtia, maize aromas. Dry finish and aftertaste. Refreshing, of course. Surely the best offering from this brewery.

It’s simply the BEST beer in Tunisia. For all beer lovers, this must be a must while they visit our beautiful and sunny country. What a refresher...
