Bottled. Ambery brown colour with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma is sweet syrup, caramel and mild toasted notes as well as some raisins. Flavour has minor bitterness and is quite close to the same stuff as in the aroma.

Bottle at DØE. Amber colour with an off-white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, fruit, caramel and hops.

Sample at Ølfestival 2012. Dark amber shade. Smells almost like a spirit. Some oaky character and whisky notes. I guess there’s some maple character but I was hoping for more really. Apart from that the base beer is pretty acceptable. Surprising amount of burn as it finishes. Bit of an odd one but it kept me on my toes at least.

Bottle. Pours brown with a small offwhite head. Aroma of malt, caramel, fruit, light hops. Taste is malt, caramel, sweet dark fruit, grapefruity hops. Medium body, soft carbonation. 300312

Ale with a fine foam that quickly collapses. Rather special sweet aroma, notes of honey. Tastes a bit of forest leaves and resin, mysterious.

Copenhagen Beer Festival. Clear brown beer, biscuit coloured head. Crisp palate. Sweet malt with a pleasant sweet malt aftertaste.

50cl, new Danish brew Anno 2008, with maple syrup, thx to Mikael & Ronny!, not complex brew, slightly sweet, yet balanced, hazy, nearly no head, nice brew

Bottle. Lovely deep ruby, low carbonation. The maple syrup is very evident in the aroma. Maple sweet, though there is dryness here, too. Would be lovely with mature cheese or cured ham. A bit too much on the sweet side to be my favourite, but a fine beer nevertheless. Both maple and dry hops in the long finish.
