Vignale (2174) - Malmö, SWEDEN - DEC 12, 2011
Drucken med på ölföreningens julölsprovning. Kolsvart. Hårdrostade armoer av kaffe och choklad. Torr, stram, kaffe och aningens vanilj och en liten sötma som verkligen behövs. Något spritig.

0.5 l bottle, thanks Timo A! Opaque dark brown color, quickly vanishing head. Sweet thick aromas of grassy coffee, heather, raisins and prunes. Very coffeish flavor with dark bread, prunes, rum and white wine. Full bodied with low carbonation. Hard to describe, quite complex.

500 ml bottle. Dark, reddish brown body with diminishing beige head. Aroma is light roasted malt, sweet caramel, dry fruit, marzipan and wine. Flavor is slightly harsh and sweet malt, fruity, vegetables and alcohol. Moderate bitterness and medium body. Drinkable, but something is not quite right.

ClubGonzo (4226) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 5, 2011
Bottle. Black body, no retention. Aroma is candy sugars, licorice, dark chocolate and marzipan. Taste is very sweet, with some roasty notes and prominent marzipan. Hints of clove. A bit too sweet for me, otherwise a rather original stout which I do suspect fits Christmas better than the rest of the year.

yngwie (14008) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 1, 2011
Bottle. It pours a a clear, reddish dark brown body and a small, beige head that lasts. Buttery, roasted and slightly warming. Marzipan chocolate and dried fruits. Slightly alcoholic and spiced on both aroma and flavor. Butterscotch, roasted malts, some spices and a touch of bitterness. Medium body, pleasant carbonation. Decent, drinkable and all that, but that’s it. Not a favorite. 110301
