COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A remarkable lager whose natural ingredients and brewing method create a uniquely pleasant bouquet. Some beer drinkers note a hint of spiciness, others say the aroma reminds them of a gentle breeze in a pine woods. Called Petrovskoye in Russian. The brew’s mellow taste is due to an extra special variety of yeast. Brewed from 2009 at Bochkarev.

A yellow beer with a small white head. The aroma is sweet musky. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of honey and a very dry hoppy end.

Golden with a lasting head. Some hensfood in the nose. Quiet bitter with flavour from hop and some bitter herb.

Typical lager look, aroma and taste - hops, bitterness; a bit alcoholic. Nothing to write home about.

Aroma is fresh with grass, grain, some buttery tones and distant metallic notes. Flavour has some butter, grainy tones and hints of grass. Dry finish. Refreshing and easy-going, better than I expected. Pairs fine with Vorschmack.

Darkish lager color, good foamy white head, lace. Metallic and sweet aroma with hints of ... maybe rye. Bitter flavor with malty body. Slightly bitter, hoppy aftertaste. Beats most of Finnish competitors. This one has interesting ratings: some of them claim this sweet, others - me included - bitter, different recipes or not homogeneous quality production? Or maybe it just sweetens when it is warmer.

(Plastic bottled, 1.5 liters, 4.8% ABV, 14% gravity, drank @ fridge temp, brewed 5/2004, BBE 8/2004) Golden color with small but lacy head. Slightly sweet, quite mild, neutral aroma. Quite fruity, sweetish flavor with some bitterness towards the finish. Smooth, light to medium-bodied palate with balanced carbonation. A very easily drinkable, smooth and reasonably refreshing lager. Quite a nice surprise, considering that it comes in a large plastic bottle with only cyrillic text (except for "beer") on it! After 1.5 liters, you'll be begging for more...

larsga (6146) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 19, 2009
Medium white head. Yellow body. Peppery apple and milk aroma with papery notes. Dry-sweetish pappery papery taste with grassy notes. Mid-bodied. Dry papery grassy aftertaste lasts a long time, the paper being fairly powerful all the time. Not too horrible, though. Also fairly bitter. (0.5l can, Netto supermarket, St. Petersburg. My can said 5.2%.)

Bottle in Russia. This must be the Bud light of beer in the Russian world because it is the cheapest beer at only $0.15 making it cheaper to buy than water. Still even the cheapest Russian beer is better than a Bud Light. Pretty much your typical and average lager.

Clear pale yellow with white foam head. Aroma is earthy, some barley. Taste is bit sweet, malty, earthy. Not the best beer Heineken is brewing. (St. Petersburg, 201305)
