Poors a very murky brown color with absotlutely no head at all. It popped out some large bubbles, but it looked like whisky or brandy being poured. Slightly buttery aroma. Incredibley thin malt taste. If I were to compare the taste to a smell, it’d be like trying to smell the grain room at Northern Brewer from outside the building on Grand. Maybe you catch a whiff here or there, but not really. My new goal is to brew a beer worthy of being in that bottle.

Brown body with little head. Slightly sweet aroma, malts dominate. Sweet but thin body, nothing special.

the bottle is absolutely awesome. . a heavy solid ceramic cask with a stopper... it carries with it highexpectations that as much attention and creativity has been given to what is inside. Alas, such is not the case.

Sampled at the Richmond Beer Industry Gathering 2006. Clear dark amber body with a small tan head. Sweet caramel aroma. Strong caramel flavor. The bottle mostly just adds cost to a fairly mediocre beer, but atleast I have a ceramic swingtop to bottle into later.

Bottle. Dark mahogony beer with a huge lt cocoa colored head. Creamy, yeasty, spicey aroma with some licorice. Darker malt flavor with yeasty, spicy flavor. Some background toffee/caramel/chocolate. LIghter bodied. Easy to drink. Not bad, just needs a bit more oomph.

Ceramic bottle. Ruby red colour (alt. reddish brown), big offwhite head (no matter how you poured it, it foamed lots). Aroma is licorace, yeast, malts and caramel. Licorace, malts, yeast and caramel is in the flavour. Very smoothly mixed. Alcohol brings a bit sweetness to the whole, but is not disturbing.
