Pours a light brown with a light caramel aroma. Seemed like a cross between as light brown ale and a bock. Not really a porter by any measure.. nonetheless... Flavors of caramel with minimal bitterness... Unique..

Bottle/jug into tulip glass. I might have found a porter I don’t like, mostly because it doesn’t taste like any porter I’ve ever had. At first, I thought that a "poorter" might be an entirely different beer, but Ratebeer tells me otherwise, so I have to believe it. The smell was outstanding: caramel malt and banana. It looked good too, ruby with some brown accents, a large foamy head that left beautiful large-bubble lacing on the glass. Downhill from there. The taste was dominated by a mint-like spiciness that overpowered the caramel malt and a tomato taste also present. When I say overpower, that’s not saying much though, because the flavor was pretty weak. Combined with the wateriness of it, I wasn’t sure if I was drinking beer at all. Carbonation was barely noticable, which was good, because any more of it would have masked the taste entirely. Disappointment in a fancy package.

Deep ruby in color with a large off-white head. Fruity aroma, yeast, malt and bread. Flavors of fruit and sweet toasted malt. A nice porter, but the packaging and price had my expectations higher.

Clear light brown/dark orange with a fluffy off-white head. Sweet malts in the nose with a hint of chocolate. Watery body. Lightly sweet fizzy ending. A light simple porter in a fancy bottle.

Beautiful amber color. Malty aroma. Malty, a bit sweet, correctly bitter; enjoyable, no surprise.

Bottled @ DBF2004: Dark amber coloured. Light brown head. Malty and sweet nose. This is some shitty porter without any flavour what so ever. I can sense some vague smoke notes, but thats all. BORING.

Amber coloured. Caramelly and fruity aroma. Sweet, malty and fruity flavour. An ok Belgian ale, but not much of a porter.

Chestnut color with a beige head. The taste is sweet, malty, fruity with a slight bitter sharpness in the finish.
