Bottle. Pours a brune body with a tan head. Malty body some chocolate notes, a nutty body almond and dried fruits. Full body with a sweeter toffee finish. Nice.

Hoogstraten bottle from the Saucer. Tasted a lot like the Flensburger beers, but good instead of awful. Bad ass stone bottle.

Appearance: Pours out a hazed, deep, dark amber body with a wispy, whitish head. Smell: Sweetish, fairly fruity nose with notes of raisins and dried apricots at the fore with toasted malts and standard sugar in the back. Taste: Toasty, faintly nutty malts with a solid bump of candyish sweetness. As is the case with the nose, itís quite fruity. Essentially no hop character or bitterness. Vaguely sweetish and fruity on the otherwise hohum finish. Itís sweet and then itís gone. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation. Drinkability: Entirely unimpressive and not a beer I could honestly recommend; itís one of those beers that were it not for these notes, I would have absolutely no memory of this thing.

Pop top crock type bottle, another in this Belgian series. Dark ruddy brown pour with a thin off white head. Light on the nose with some spice and earthy wheat blending into the pallet, malts and bread. A slight roast with some bitterness towards the end. Decent drinker.

Semi-clear brown pour with large fading khaki head. Sweet chocolate cherry aroma. Brown sugar, soy, molassis, anise flavors. Very belgian in nature, not a porter. Earthy bitter finish. Medium full body with a creamy carbonation. Cool ass ceramic swing-top.

Brewed in Belgium........Courtesy of the Capt, thanks Mark !!! Pours a nice brown color with a thin white head. Aroma of wheat, spices, bread and malts. Taste is of caramel, malts, nuts and bread. Overall, average !! But still very drinkable and i really dig the old milk bottle style.

Thanks for sharing Jerel! An oddity of a beer by a long shot. Clearly not much in common with a porter. Clear lighter ruddy brown with a bit of an off white head. The nose is, well, Belgian. Light, with some fruity esters, spice, perhaps some brown sugar. Not a ton of dark malt character, but some. Thinner texture, lower carbonation, but not inappropriate. The flavor is in line with the nose, though perhaps more interesting. A bit of chocolate pops out. A bit of dark fruit, but decidedly herbal. Light and clean. A surprise for me.

Thanks to Butters for the bottle. Pours a coke color body with a beige head that laces. Smells of roast, brown sugar, and spices. Tastes the same with some chocolate notes. Easy to drink with a very palatable flavor and mouthfeel.

Pours dark brown with a tan head. Smells of roasted malt, chocolate, clove, some licorice, Belgian yeast. Taste lives up to the aroma with a nice complement of bitterness on the finish. Great beer.

Light brown with a nice head. Aromas are nutty/biscuity. Taste has caramel overtones with light malty and hoppy edges.
