Bottle from World Market. Poured brown color with a large frothy brown head that was mostly lasting with fair lacing. Moderate toasted malty and citrus aroma. Light to medium body texture. Medium balanced flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where not met.

Bottle, bought @ Poetzsh, Flensburg.
Pour is dark brown amber with a pretty, frothy off-white head. Aroma is nice and fruity, lots of berries, some apple, light tartness and a good dose of caramel behind it. Fresh and lively mouthfeel. Flavour is lightly tart, some raisins, a little chocolate, biscuits and oranges. Semi-dry.

Ceramic swing top bottle poured a clear amber with a small off white head. Aromas of brown sugar, fruity, and light spice. Palate was light and dry. Flavors of straw, honey and spice with a dry finish. Sure does’nt seem like a porter to me.

750ml bottle (Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam)
Very deep red, large self-supporting beige head, some sinky bits. Plenty of CO2 in the aroma due to the high carbonation. Aroma like a belgian bruin. Quite refreshing palate, lively carbonation. Not a big taste at all, again like a belgian bruin, but slightly watered down, and not at all sticky. Pleasant rubbery burnt corner to the taste. Fairly spicy too, cloves, a touch fruity, and some sticky raw hops, Has a slightly tingly hoppy finish. Very refreshing, I prefer this to many bruins despite the fact that the flavour profile is very similar. No hint of 6.5%, drink this by the pint.

Aged almost ten years. Lots of caramel. Tastes like an old ale. Some resin. Aged much more gracefully than I would have expected. Rated 4/16/10

Bottle. Pours dark brown with an average frothy, light brown head, mostly lasting, fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, caramel), average hops (herbs, grass), average yeast (leaves) with notes of apple, cherry and brown sugar. Medium bodied, gritty texture, lively carbonation and a slight bitter finish. Short duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

Bottled @ DBF2004: Dark amber coloured. Light brown head. Malty and sweet nose. This is some shitty porter without any flavour what so ever. I can sense some vague smoke notes, but thats all. BORING.

beautiful ruby colour, plum aroma, sweet, toasted with a caramel and cherry aftertaste - is this really a porter ?
