Bottle at Trinity Hall. Label doesn’t mention Ommegang at all, but it’s listed under the same name. Pours a cloudy lemon yellow with a foamy white head. Aroma is big banana and clove spice. Belgian yeast is apparent. Also has a slight metallic smell. Not sure where that is coming from. I almost want to write lake water but I’m not convinced of that. Flavor is citrus sweet with a carbonation burn over the palate. Very tingly. Slightly watery finish however.

Sampled at Texas Beerfest. Pours a cloudy yellow with a large creamy white head that lasts awhile. The aroma is citrus and fruity tart. Thin mouthfeel with a flavor similar to the aroma tart and light finish. Easy to drink a decent Belgian wit.

bottle. Label says brewed in Belgium by Sterkens Brewery Meer, Belgium, imported by Noble Union Trading? Not sure why this is listed as Ommegang? Coriander and citrus on the nose with bread-like wheat. Pours a hazy yellow with a thin white head. Bready malts with coriander and hints of citrus, finishes wheaty with traces of spice. I think a little fresher this beer would be awesome.

33cl, no mention of ABV, exclusive brew, from De Hopduvel Gent, not complex brew, spicy and slightly sour, yet refreshing, balanced, cloudy, good head, nice Belgian White

Decent Witbier, middle of the road for the style, nice spice, nice citrus. It was cheap too.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy straw yellow with white fizzy head. Aroma is fairly light...notes of wheat, coriander and lemon. Flavor is much the same with a nice tang in the finish. Mouth feel is light, soft and a bit watery. Overall, a nice drinking, tasty, refreshing brew.....

Very good and extremely drinkable. Light bodied, yeasty, and lightly spicy. Well carbonated. Yeast in the finish with some lemon.

j12601 (4171) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JAN 25, 2011
Bottle. Pours a hazed gold with a big white head. Nice soft wheat with some light spice and banana on the nose, a bit spicy and estery. Medium bodied, good amount of estery yeast coming through both flavor wise and visually with big ol’ chunks of it floating around in the drink. Dry finish with more esters. Nicely done.
