Cask conditioned gravity dispense Chequers Oxford 02/11/12. A reddy coloured beer with a whitish head and lace. Fruity berry notes. Pretty sweet plum notes. Definite malt lead rather than hop lead. decent enough but would like the sweetness toned down.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap @ the Haymarket. Pours dark amber with a nice head. The nose has toffee and cream with a little bit of raisin in there. The taste is a little bit cardboardy and the malt on the finish is astringent. The palate is medium bodied with a medium thick textjure and a slightly astringent finish, unfortunately. Overall, this is the worst beer Iíve had from this brewery, so I must assume something has not been carried out correctly by the pub, so will need to re-rate.
