A deep red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel, and hints of coffee. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, coffee, caramel, and a bit of butterscotch, leading to a dry roasted and coffeeish finish. Thanks yespr for bringing this.

[mini-cask courtesy of cgarvieuk] Voluminous white head from the cask, dark brown body becomes more visible as the head reduces. Aromas of malt, coffee but some sweetness and a touch of leather. Same on the palate, the coffee is never dominant but just in the background to compliment the malts. The sweetness rises as you drink, with an almost nutty, coffee finish. Good stuff [14112010]

[3253-20100802] Cask. Grainy light hard-boiled egg aroma with some notes of toasted evergreen needles. Hazy, brown body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head and some floaties. Light sweet grainy malt flavour. Medium body is smooth. Pretty good.

A Mes rate. Mini cask at the Sloany Pony.
Slightly hazy chestnut brown with a thin off white head. Pleasant earthy malt with some sweet fruity notes and a faint coffee bitterness in the finish. Straight forward but balanced and tasty. Nice one Craig.
