In bottle at 30/01/12 Appellation Wines tasting. Pours a very dark brown colour with a fair tan head. Aroma of coconut, chocolate and caramel. Similar Bounty flavours with a lovely slick mouth-feel. Lingering roasty malt. Excellent.

UPDATED: APR 6, 2012 On Ccsk at launch event, Guildford Arms. Coffee grounds and hints of milk chocolate on the nose. Bit of sulphur, sadly. Something earthy too. Tiny hint of coconut. Light carbonation. Taste is smooth milk chocolate and coconut. Slightly burnt taste. Aftertaste is mild and long, with a burnt maltiness. Coconut is there, but not actually that pronounced. Balanced, not thrilling. 3.1 Cask again at Cloisters. I like this a lot more. Smooth, dark chocolate, very VERY well-balanced, just a hint of lovely toasty coconut and a nice roasty finish. Easily Stewartís best beer. 4

Bottle. Pours deepbrown black with diminishing tan head. Enticing roasty aroma. Coconut swwtness if you really look for it. Take a swig and your tongue is enveloped my a wonderful, thick porter with all the usual trimmings. Then the coconut elbows itís way to the front making for a chocolate bount resonance. Finishes soft. The nest Stewarts beer Iíve hadd to date. I remember having it on cask at The Carriers not so long ago too.glad itís back.

Taste of dark malts, soft coconut, dark chcolate, sweet dark malts, smooth plain chocolate bounty bar, no artificial notes, very soft roasted malts, great flavour
Palate - Medium body, smooth, sweet dark malts. FInish - much more creamy coconut come through. Bounty bar linger yum yum.
Overall - This is great, better than last year and even better on cask...One of their best beers easily...up from 3.7 to 4.0

Bottle from Ninaís Mini Mart. Edinburgh 7/4/8/3/15 3/7 [022212]
Black with ruby edges...medium bubbly tan head...dissipated to thin layer
Aroma - Plain chocolate...dark rich malts...soft roasted malts..smooth coconut..like plain Bounty bar
Taste - Dark malts..plain chocolate..soft roast malt...creamy coconut...light coffrr...light bitter hops...molten plain Bounty bar
Palate - soft to medium carb...thin to medium body....coats mouth with soft roast and smooth light chocolate and coconut...bit oily texture
Overall - I really like this but Iím left gasping for more. I want more of that flavour and smoothness. Iíve only had 7-8 Stewart beers but this is the best. Must try this cask - I reckon itís a lot better. I would really like to see a stronger richer version of this brew.

Cask (Gravity dispense) at 7th Bexley Beer Festival on 12 April 2012. Very dark colour - inky and almost opaque. Certainly a good looking beer. Toasty coconut is certainly evident. Also something a bit rum-like. Dry and tasty. A delicious drop.
