Cask at the Halfway House, Edinburgh. Slightly sweet aroma, with citrus and cascade hops. Sweet-and-sour flavor, fruity, with citrus hops. Not a lot of bitterness, but it’s there in the finish. Decent malt character and a dry finish.

Cask, gravity, at Luton BF ’10. Reddish amber. Old wet leaf malt aroma. Slightly unpleasant to be honest. Taste is better: slight sweetness and a leathery background. Mid bitter finish. Excellent in parts, as they say.

Cask, Platform 3 bar, Linlithgow. Beautifully crystal clear red ale, with a fruity aroma and flavour and some dryness in the mouthfeel. Reasonably bitter on the tongue, but countered by some malt to give a well balanced beer.
