Aroma: Clean, grassy aroma. Light citrus and biscuit notes.

Appearance: Clear golden body with a thin white head. Flat carbonation. Excellent lacing.

Taste: Biscuit, peach and muted citrus. Easy drinking but not particularly interesting.

Palate: Medium body with an oily texture. Flat carbonation.

Overall: I prefer this to the other Edinburgh-dominated ale, Deuchars. It tastes lighter (despite its higher ABV) fresher and crisper.

OMG!!!!! This is really, really nice. So full of flavour. It reminds me of Brewdog ales. It takes the depth of Stewart Hollyrood ale one step further along, and turns it up to absolutely full bodied. grapefruit, bubblegum, hops and fruity hops.

On tap at the Bow Bar, Edinburgh. Deep golden colour, long lasting white head. Slightly unusual hop character, quite sweet,a little boozy and some slightly corny slightly syrupy fruit maybe pineapple in the finsh. A bit heavy, cloying, strong to be truly sessionable. Nice enough for a pint but not very exciting.

Pint at Milne’s on Rose Street. A light golden colour. Not much of a head. A little cloudy.

From the bottle. A touch hoppy, floral and sweet (honey). Pours golden with white head. Clean and grassy taste. I like it but it’s nothing special.

Cask at Chapel Beer Festival. Clear gold beer. Light suddy head. A little hop on the nose. Light dry palate. Sweetish hops - grapefruit and pineapple. Bare hint of sulphur. Finishes dry and fruity.

Edinburgh Airport Wetherspoons. Golden bitter with a modest head which dors hang around. Beer a bit too chilled. Little aroma, but clean fruity taste, slightly citric and very refreshing. Good to see local brews on at the airport rather than the generic nationals.

Cask. Cloudy yellow with white head. Slight yeasty aroma. Mil and sweet ale-y flavour, could do with some more hops to balance it out. Decent session beer.
