3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 TheCametron (1296) - CZECH REPUBLIC - MAY 4, 2012
Bottle. Cloudy golden with a foamy white head. Banana and clove hefe notes but just a liitle awry. I haven’t had a German Hefe from outside Germany that truly emulates the indigenous ones. This was nice in a slightly different way.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 rjkreid (190) - SCOTLAND - APR 4, 2012
Aroma is classic Hefeweizen with banana and a mild hint of cloves. The taste is more unusual, with a peppery and almost smoky tang over and above the sweetness of the malt. Easy drinking and enjoyable.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 AleTsar (1338) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 19, 2012
Bottle from Alesela
Amber...light haze...bubbly effervescent head that dissipates fairly quickly
Aroma...light banana..hint of pear..some wheat..bit of a sour tinge...don’t get the cloves...aroma quite light
Taste - quite sweet malts...light banana...soft bready yeast...slight sour note...gentle flavour
Palate - medium carb...thinnish body...soft texture..Finish as main flavour...rapid finish
Overall - Not really like a German hefeweizen - wasn’t keen on it first, hint of sourness, rather unusual, but the score went up towards the end of the bottle - I quite liked it but its still a bit hit and miss.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 RichardW (1157) - Carlisle, Cumbria, ENGLAND - OCT 1, 2011
bottle, Coppers8til8, Newcastle. A large foaming head on top of a deep murky orange beer. Very authentic, more than a hint of sourness, probably a result of the blueberries. Quite a dry finish, a hint of peat in the aroma, loads of clove and herb on the palate, with banana and bubblegum also present.
3.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 grapefruitmoon (22) - SCOTLAND - SEP 29, 2011
Not much aroma, but poured a lovely cloudy orange with a huge white head. Lively and effervescent on the palate, with slight banana notes and fizzy orange and cloves coming through.

Bottled. A very aggressive pour to this beer. It’s hazy copper with a huge white head. A good hefe aroma with banana to the fore. Also pretty authentic in the mouth. Wheaty and a bit clovey. A nice body and pretty good.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Leighton (6973) - London, ENGLAND - JUL 9, 2011
Bottle at the East Croydon Beer Tasting. Pours cloudy gold with an immense, white head. Holds a sweet, bready aroma with notes of yeast and honey. Light sweet flavor, pretty sweet and yeasty, some dark sugars. Light bodied with average to lively carbonation. Finishes sweet, slightly warming, bready, perhaps slightly oxidized. Not bad overall.
