COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled; Regular. Occasionally available in cask.
Based on our IPA malt grist but bolstered by the wonderful American Amarillo Hop our Hollyrood is a world class pale ale.
Pale in colour with a full fresh citrus aroma, Hollyrood has a light body, moderate bitterness and tangy grapefruit flavours. It goes well with light flavoured foods such as tiger prawns in garlic butter, char-grilled chicken, pan fried sea bass, or burger & chips.
Hops: Magnum and Amarillo Malt: Maris Otter and Wheat

Bottle from Aldi. (£1.25) Had this ages ago and It was pretty good. This seems to be a very different animal altogether, somehow tasting like a bog-standard supermarket French lager. Not good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a bottle in Edinburgh. Light bodied with well set carbonation. Light golden color with good clarity and a decent head. Fruity with some citrusy hops.

swampwater (53) - Preston, Lancashire, ENGLAND - FEB 19, 2015
Came with a Beer 52 order. Bottled.

Aroma: A hoppy, and floral aroma. A slight hint of dragonfruit.
Appearance: Pours a hazy gold. Barely any head.
Taste: No strong flavours here. Whispers of bitter hops, citrus, and dragonfruit.
Palate: Ever so slightly bitter at first, then citrus-sweet. Light carbonation. Light body. Oily mouthfeel.
Overall: A very inoffensive beer. No big flavours, no big aromas. It’s not a favourite, or a hated beer, it just... exists.

Bottle from Beer52. Murky, with a decent head. Citrusy, zesty aroma, buttery. Tastes of lemon drizzle cake but with a bitter finish. Quite reasonable stuff.

[6524-20140710] Cask. Yeasty toasted plastic aroma. Clear, golden yellow body with a quick foamy white head. Grainy bitter herbs and stringy grass flavour. Medium body. Good. (7/3-/7/3/13) 3.3

Fruity, syrupy aroma. Massive happy punch. Quite bitter yet smooth on the palate. Wouldn't be my session beer but ok as a one off. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
