Medium beige creamy head. Deep brown body. No discernible aroma. Dry-sweet roasty earthy fruity taste with floral musty notes. Mild, smooth mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Dryish roasty wooden aftertaste with earthy notes. Decent, but nothing special. (0.25l cask, Cloisters, Edinburgh.)

4oz pour is a murky caramel brown with some creamy, white head. Nose has malt, orange, paper. Flavor is sweet with brown sugar, tea, orange, yeast. Finishes creamy and a touch peppery.

Cask at Cloisters. It pours clear deep amber with a decent off-white head. The nose is wood, earth, leather, light toffee and biscuit. The taste is firm bitterness, wood, resin, leather, caramel, brown bread and biscuit with a dry finish. Lingering bitterness. Medium body and soft carbonation. Alright cask malty action.

Cask @ Cloisters Bar, Edinburgh. Body is clear deep amber, head is medium creamy beige fully lasting excellent lacing. Nose is caramel, aroma is molasses, honey, millet. Medium to heavy sweet, light bitter, later more hoppy bitter. Medium body, oily texture, no carbonation. Easy, a bit too sweet.

(draught) pours a hazy ruby-amber colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of heavy butter, some bread dough, treebark and green apple. flavour is more butter and raisins, with a hint of earth and toffee, very bland. medium-bodied with soft carbonation.

Aroma: Mild aroma of toffee, red fruits and lime.

Appearance: Amber body with a thin beige head. Great lacing.

Taste: A real thirst quencher - it’s really light and moreish. Lightly roasted malt, toffee apple and a slightly peppery finish.

Palate: Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Flat carbonation.

Overall: A very easy drinking Bitter.
