An ultra pale ale with a full body. Passion fruit, mango and cinnamon aroma, initially sweet but beautifully balanced with long lasting citrus bitterness.
We added 4 different types of New Zealand hops to really celebrate one of the best hop growing regions in the world. This beer is bursting with tropical fruit, definitely a zingy summer ale.

Bottle. A perfectly realised APA - lots of tropical fruit balanced with sweet malt base. I’ve been impressed by this lots special releases.

Rather nice, but a bit on the strong side for a session when the pints are full sized, unlike the real American style.

Cask conditioned handpump Lyric London 27/01/14. A golden coloured beer with a white head and lace. Over sweet parma violet notes in this. Hoppy enough but the flavours don’t work. Problematic and not satisfying. Low drinkability.

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. This is an extremely pale golden, hazy beer with sweet tropical fruity flavours, earthy notes and more sweet, slight sugary tropical fruit on the finish.

Bottle at home. It pours hazy orange with a small white head. The nose is sweet dough, hay, white bread, orange blossom and honeysuckle. The taste is smooth, crisp, doughy, green hop, grapefruit, pithy orange, pine and light spice with a dry finish. Light-medium, moderate carbonation and soft mouth-feel. Soft and easy going. Quaffable.

Bottle on Boxing Day 2013. Hazy golden with very small head. Zero lacing. Bready malts on the nose with surprisingly restrained citrus. Loads of mango in the flavour. Thin body for the ABV. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Vino, Broughton St. Pours slightly hazy golden. Small head that dissipates to thin white foam. Tropical nose with melon / cucumber? Body is quite thin. Sweet start with slightly sour finish. Opens up as it warms. Not particularly hoppy which is odd given the aim! Good with Thai curry, but nothing particularly special.

Cask at Cloisters. Pours clear pale gold with a creamy white head, nice lacing. Aromas of tropical fruit, mango, some orange and white grape too. nice bitterness on the taste, with a balancing caramel malt sweetness. Medium body and creamy texture. Lovely stuff.
