3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 dantheman278 (1316) - - SEP 26, 2011Cask at Teviot, also at Cloisters. Orange/golden amber with a small frothy white head. Light bready grain on the nose. Palate is dry, bready malts and hint of zest with a dry finish. Perfectly drinkable, if unexciting session.

Very light clear golden yellow.. A long thin malty quality here with barely any carbonation. Hopes in short supply. A disappointment.

Golden amber, thin white head, clear.
Aroma of soft pale malts, not much else
Taste of light biscuity malts, some floral notes, touch of juicy fruit malt, touch of background bitterness
Palate - soft carb, medium body, bit oily. Finish as main flavour, rather dry
Overall - hmmmm
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 tombyars (1204) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - MAR 7, 2012
Tasted this in the Esquire House, Glasgow (JDW) in April 2006. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale amber in colour with a thin white head. Slight lemony citric fruit note in the short aroma. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a slight digestive biscuit base with lemon peel flavours. Citrus fruit evident in the dusty hop resins, giving a bitter aftertaste that compliments the malt well. Finish is quite dry and hoppy with grapefruit pith in the dry palate. A decent sesasion IPA and well recommended.

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2012 Regular cask at Cloisters. A golden ale with a thick white head. Aroma of caramel, musty honey and yeast. Flavours of musty honey and yeast again with some barley. Very dry finish. Not my favourite (5,3,5,2,12). Also had this pulled through a Hopinator at the Scottish Real Ale Festival, 2012. Pours a pale blonde colour with a fair white head. Lemon and pine hop aroma and flavours with a cereal-like malty character also. A little thin. Reminds me of hoppy boiled wort (6,3,6,1,16).
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 downender (5185) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JUN 12, 2011
Cask-conditioned at Thomsons, Edinburgh 7/06/2011. Deep gold in colour with a slight white head. Slightly jammy citrus fruit, creamy malts and a dry finish with a trace of lime. Fine.
