Had the cask conditioned. Wish I hadn’t. Had that "smoky" essence that Stewart’s should simply give up on.

On tap at brewpub. Poured a deep dark brown with a one finger tan head that lasted til the end and left nice lacing. A deep sweet roasted malt aroma. Taste is toasted malt, toffee and a mild nutiness that is finished with a pronounced hop presence that shines through the finish. Medium bodied with low carbonation and creamy mouthfeel.

UPDATED: NOV 24, 2010 Tap at stewarts: Pours a black color, small mocha head. OK aroma aroma of some roasted malts and hops. Flavor is nice.... lots of roasted malts up front....light coffee...lots of hops at the end. Body is medium, sort of creamy... easy to drink. Overall, nice stout....Their Highlander hopped up... not over done or weak...
