COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A special beer for hop addicts. This is an aggressively hopped, higher alcohol version of a classic American-style IPA. We added hops at every stage of the brewing process we could think of resulting in a beer that drinks like a punch to the jaw.

Draft pint glass at brewpub. Description on special sheet states the beer was dry hopped twice. Very fresh indeed. Smooth, can’t really detect the high abv, nice lacing. Aroma is pleasant, but expected a little more in the nose. Piny, taste which was enjoyable. I swear I had this beer a few years ago and was more impressed with it then. Solid, put together 2ipa

UPDATED: JUL 2, 2010 On tap at stewarts. I have been waiting for this one for a while. Poured into a pint glass. Nice red color, not much head. Great aroma of grassy hops. Taste is very grassy. Lots of hop bitterness in the taste. The bitterness just lingers. Not thick in texure but above average for a DIPA. Good beer but not great. Overall a really fresh DIPA that I enjoyed but I think their Amarillo IPA which was on tap at the same time is better...*****Update****Cask at stewarts July 1st 2010...More of an orange color...decent head, that leaves a good lacing on the glass. Super smooth beer. Hoppy but not bitter.... Grapefruit and pine taste. I love the (cask) temperture. Much better on cask then the regular version.

ROGUE (2127) - Newark, Delaware, USA - DEC 24, 2008
On tap at brewpub. Poured an amber color with a thick off-white head and heavy lacing. Aroma was piney with light malt in the back. The flavor was heavy piney hops with a hint of citrus but the hops really knock everything else out. Medium body with some dryness upon the finish.

Sept. 2007 - Orangey pour with very little head or lacing. Aroma was grapefruits and more grapefruits. Flavor was thick ands syrupy grapefruit nectar, with caramel malts and other bittering hops. Flavor profile reminded me of Dreadnaught. Good beer.

Draft pint shared with my wife at the brewpub. Rich rusty orange-red with a full-up top of tight foam. The aroma is of a hearty hop, but with a bit of soapy aromatic thing. Very perfumey, this drinks with a viscuous hop-resin edge and a tight puckering finish. (#3181, 11/8/2007)
