COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Straight from the mind of the ‘Beer Admiral’ himself. Head Brewer Rick Hoffman presents a ‘traditional’ spiced pumpkin ale. Rick added over 10 lbs of pumpkin per barrel. Brewed with a touch of Maize for softness, and to fit the harvest spirit. Spiced with a custom blend of whole botanicals including cinnamon, ginger, allspice, clove and nutmeg.

From cask. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and slight spiced. Spiced, malty, breadish and crisp hoppy flavoured. Bitter and dry into a malty and slight roasted finish.

On tap at the KSBF ’09. Poured a medium and cloudy orangish color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of pumpkin and spices. Tastes of the same pumpkin and spices. Yep, it is a pumpkin beer!

Draft at the brewpub. This is definitely one of the top 5 pumpkin beers I have had. It pours hazy dark straw colored with off-white head. The aroma contains pronounced pumpkin, allspice, caramel malt, and hops. Smooth palate that is rich and well balanced, with flavor notes of pumpkin pie with crust, allspice, caramel malt, and backup hops. This is a delicious pumpkin ale.

Fairly standard aroma, pumpkin spice and a little pie like sweetness. Pours amber orange thin head. The flavor is mostly pumpkin spice and sweet-ish pumpkin pie notes too. Well done, simple yet effective.

Amber with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and a bit of toast. Taste of caramel malts, earth, pumpkin spices, and toast.

Big thanks to mday for getting this out my way. Poured into a tulip. Appearance is a light orange copper. Slightly opaque. Off white head and a bit of lacing. Nose is really light with only the slightest bit of pumpkin discernable. The taste is a total 180, as there are some really nice notes of fresh pumpkin, lift brown sugar, and some spicing. Good creamy feel on a medium body. Drinks quite well. I am quite impressed with my first offering from this brewery. Serving type: growler Reviewed on: 11-03-2010

Tap at IH WC during Gathering of the Gourds 2009. Pours a lightly hazy orange amber with a smaller bubbly off white head. Aroma of light pumpkin pie spices, some toasted malt and nuts. Flavor of the same. A litlte on the thin side.

Vibrant orange beer with a thin head. Fruity sugar pumpkin aroma with diffuse spices that are hard to tease apart to identify. Fruity sugar pumpkin flavor with residual sugar and cinnamon sweetness on the finish. Hints of alcohol, despite a moderate 5.9%ABV push along the spices as the beer breathes and warms and ginger takes the forefront.

Pours a hazy orange with a small head. The aroma is cinnamon and pumpkin with nutmeg etc etc... it basically smells like pumpkin pie. The flavor is spicy with some good pumpkin flavor and a nice mild bitterness.
