COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
From an innocent looking strip mall brewpub comes this strange and wonderful marriage of our two favorite drinks! This batch was brewed with 12 pounds of locally roasted organic Mexican coffee. Malts: English Pale, Crystal, Chocolate, Black, Munich and Wheat. Hops: Northern Brewer (bittering), Willamet (aroma) and Goldings (hopback).

On tap at Global Brew. A delicious smoky vanilla tasting porter that pours a clear dark amber with very little head. Coffee taste is dominant. This is a good one.

UPDATED: MAR 9, 2013 Tap @ Taproom No. 307, New York 15/04/12. Pours a dark brown with not much of a tan head. Aroma is coffee, strongly coffee, not much else. Taste is coffee too, some roasted malts in the background, but feels mostly like a cold coffee. Palate is light and watery. Not very good.

Smells like a cup of coffee and looks like one as well. Starts off with coffee flavors and finishes with...coffee flavors with a hint of porter. This was definitely their best beer.

On tap at brewpub. Poured a clear deep black with a small head that dissapated quickly. Big, big rich coffee aroma. Thick coffee flavors mix with bitter dark chocolates and roasted nuttiness. Slight bittering through the finnish. Smooth, rich, creamy but light mouthfeel.

Wow, did it smell like coffee. Moreso than maybe any beer I’ve had. It was a bit too bitter and overwhelming coffee, but a good beer.

On tap at the brewpub, served in a shaker glass. Very dark brown with a thin khaki head that sticks around for awhile. Smells of coffee, roasty, chocolate, and a touch of fruity esters. Coffee was immediately noticeable in the flavor but isn’t so strong that it overpowers everything else. Nice chocolatey base along with some earthy hops. Nicely balanced and very drinkable even on a 92 degree day.

On tap @ Stewart’s. Pours black with a tan head. Roasty aroma with lots of coffee. Sweet with a coffee bitterness. Full to medium body with a very smooth mouth feel. This is a great coffee porter, very strong on the coffee side but I like that.

From the Jug at the GABF Colorado Convention Center, Denver 09/10/2008 Coffee roast aroma. Dark coloured and smooth on the palate with some alcohol present. Crisp and bitter roast finish.
