Cask handpull, The Hillsborough Hotel, Sheffield. Orange amber, thinning cream lid. Damp apples on the lawn aroma, wood sap hints. Orange, plastic and earth with a dab of sour...Some piney notes there. Gets better.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
22nd May 2012
Hazy amber beer with big pale cream coloured head. Lot s of pale floaters in this one. Crispy semi dry palate. The malt is a little creamy with mild toffee. Touch of citrus and a fair dose of dry bitterness. Semi dry finish. Bitter linger. Quite a robust bitter.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cask gravity at Colchester BF 2011. Mid copper gold colour slight haze with no real head. Bit of rubber and smoke on aroma bit not in a good way. Ok-ish in mouth with touch of drying bitterness on finish. Apart from the rubber its an ok bitter that is properly bitter on the finish. Cant believe that rubber is intended though. Rubber makes it difficult to drink.
