3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 Idiosynkrasie (1980) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUL 5, 2012
500ml bottle. Clear orangey golden colour with average firm frothy moderately lacing white head. Minimally sweet malty and fruity aroma has balanced tart, dry and sweet notes that remind of gooseberry, yellow currant and elderberry. Taste is fruity in the same way combining sweet, tart and bitter notes. Soft palate, a bit cautious and light bodied, but nicely balanced and drinkable.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Koelschtrinker (8616) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - JUN 6, 2011
Getrunken beim 1. BTO-Treffen.
Dezent fruchtiger Geruch.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 KyotoLefty (4777) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAR 20, 2010
Draught at the Stiefel-Jurgens Brewpub in Beckum. Sourish aroma and flavor. Again, I think it’s too old. Drinkable, anyhow, though not well defined. Not sure what it wants to be. Boring. Ah, it’s a Kolsch. That makes sense. Not a very good one, at least, not in good condition.

Bottle, 4.8%. The aroma is a bit fruity. Clear shiny golden colour, small white head. The flavour has a little plastic, which fortunately goes away quickly. Thin mouthfeel. Good bready aftertaste, but disappointing.
2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 diabel (1585) - Aarschot, BELGIUM - JAN 8, 2007
Bottle at the Düsseldorf Gathering. Clear, yellow body. White head. Good lace. Hoppy aroma. Quite watery flavour and as a matter of fact lacks any flavour at all. Just a tiny little bit sweet.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Saarlander (1667) - Saarlouis/ Rancho Cucamonga,CA, GERMANY - JAN 8, 2007
Yellow pour, strange aroma, like jbrus said veggie aroma, peas. A subdued brew, slight malt, some sweetness, lackluster flavor, very plain. tasted at Düsseldorf gathering.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jbrus (4992) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - JAN 7, 2007
Düsseldorf Gathering, Bottled. Sweet aroma with hints of veggies and chewing gum. Pale yellow color, white fine head, fair lace. Light sweet, light bitter, malty, also some veggies in the flavor, flat. Strange is probably the word for this beer.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 jonas (5066) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - SEP 29, 2006
Bottle, thanks a lot MoritzF!
Strong hearher honey and berry aroma (raspberries and earthy strawberries). Golden, wonderfull champagne pearling carbonation, frothy layering head.
Light (a little bit too much so IMO) grainy body, elegant aromatic hops, berries and heather again. Bitter earthy herbal finish. Best Kölsch from a bottle to date I think!
