Golden clear colour with a fine white intensive head. Sweet hayish malty Aroma with some grassy hops in the back. Sweet malt in the beginning with very fine carbonation on the tongue making the sweetness even more intense. On the other side grassy hops with some bitterness. Medium bodied. Short hoppy finish. Not too complex in my opinion. Expected more.

Poured a clear golden yellow color, aromas of hay, grass, cereal, and some sweet malt. Flavor is the same, a classic lager/pils feel to it, ok in the Florida heat.

A fairly generic beer. The best choice on the golf course today. Much better than a Miller Light... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

50 cl, can: Light golden beer with white creamy head. Very average aroma of sweet hayish malts and slightly grassy hops. Flavor is much the same. Not much for the tastebuds. Medium bodied, Highly carbonated. Short finish with a whiff of dusty hops. Might be a perfect companion for afterskiing - if nothing else.

Vom Faß in Salzburg. Backlog from 22 May 2011. Large stange of medium-dark golden with strong carbonation and a lacing white head. Nose is minerally, herbal, and very mildly stale. Taste is also minerally and lightly bitter, yeah, really heavy mineral content, very tiny wood. Crisp medium-full body with a crystal malt aftertaste.

Test vom 14.8.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,12,13,11,11,11 - 11,05

Golden pour with thin white head. Many bubbles. Aroma is grass and new hay. Light body, light malt flavour. A little clove in the finish.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2011 Simply called Stiegl Bier in the USA. From a 5l minikeg. Pours into my pokal a deep gold with a nice bright white head that billows up and leaves some nice lacing. Smell is earthy and hoppy, with some medicinal and herbal hop tones. Slightly grassy, with a bit of sweet malt hiding underneath. Taste is sweet and a bit astringent. It is amply carbonated with a huge kick that prickles the tougne. After a few drinks to get used to the carbonation the hop and malt balance takes center stage, nice bready but sweet malts and a sharp bitter hop form a pretty decent taste for this pilsener. The mouthfeel, appearance, and drinkability seem to be what hinder this pilsener, nothing grand but it is solid, the best one I have had from a minikeg.

5L keg. Copper yellow with some white head that disappears fast. No aroma really, some malts, a little bit of hops, but mostly water. Light, watery body with some carbonation. It wasn’t exciting much, more of a water replacement if there is nothing else.
