From a 500mL Can. Pours a transparent, honey gold color with a quickly dissipating head of fizzy white. Clean malt nose with a bready malt base and some hints of fruity melanoidin character. Medium light bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel with a prickly texture. Sweet malt flavors of bread dough and green raisin melanoidins up front on the palate, sweetened with a hint of honey. Munich-y. Too sweet. No hop character. The can is awesome, though. Definitely the best part.

Bottle. Not bad. Typical Pilsner aroma and nice taste of malts, some hops and the rigth amount of mustiness. Pours with a nice full head with good lacing and a golden color. One of the better lagers out there.

50cl Can brought home from Austria, thanks Rein&Renée! Clear deep golden colour, fluffy white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, honeyed cereals, light hoppy. Flavour is sweet, malty, corny, light bitter. Light carbonation, thin to medium bodied. A bit too sweet, but OK nevertheless.

Embrouille (2829) - SWITZERLAND - MAR 28, 2009
Bottled 50cl. The aroma is malt pronounced, faintly sulphury with some hops sneaking in. Moderate bitterness. High carbonation. Notes of lemon. Boring. Pretty similar to a mediocre swiss lager but with a slightly better hop profile. Dryish finish. Poor.

Svesse (6174) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - MAR 23, 2009
(Draught at Hyddan, Åre, Sweden, 16 March 2009) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Sparkly carbonation. Malty, clean nose with notes of bread, grass and hay. Malty, bready taste with freshly cut grass and a mild bitterness with hints of vanilla. Decent pale lager, possibly a touch too sweet, but clean and refreshing.

glennmastrange (2288) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - MAR 12, 2009
Bottle. Moderate malt aromas of cereal and caramel, light herbs for the hops, moderate dough and a little for the yeast with a hint of cardboard. Head is small, wispy, white with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is like cloudy iced tea with tiny particles. Flavor starts light to moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes light to moderately bitter. Palate is light to medium, slightly oily, has a lively carbonation and finishes lightly dry. Pretty light for a Marzen, but still a pretty good drinking beer.

FRom 500ml can. Pours golden yellow with thick white head. Aroma of hops and alcohol. The flavor is pretty mild. A little sweet, very floral. This beer is very easy drinking. My only complaint would be that it is a bit sweet.

hayduke (3385) - Eureka, California, USA - JAN 21, 2009
From a 500 ml bottle costing $2.99 at BevMo this poured a light yellow with small white head and not much lacing. Nose of caramel malts and grassy hops. Light mouthfeel. Favor is grainy and there is short bitter finish.

GreatLibations (1854) - Last Supper, Arizona, USA - JAN 21, 2009
Pours a light, dingy yellow color with a good head that reduces to a sateen sheet. Strong grainy aromas persist. Full on the palate with superb carbonation. The texture is almost like cream. Mildly sweet grainy essence with a twist of citrus show forward. The finish is mildly bittered and balanced.
