500ml can. light golden appearence with a nice white head. aroma is malty and earthy with a little hops. taste is kind of boring, not much but a little hops and a slight breadiness. decent carbonation. not bitter at all. a bit of a dissapointment. the best part is the cool looking can

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Lightly sweet and grainy malt aroma with some light citrus (lemon) hop notes. Briliantly clear golden body is topped by a decent and lasting, fine bubbled, white head that leaves a touch of lacing. Decent malt flavour offset but by notable bitterness with lingering hop spiciness in the aftertaste. Light body is a touch watery in texture with large-bubbled hard carbonation that pummels the tongue. Lager glass. Fridge temperature. Can (MLCC, Nov-06).

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
500mL can: Pale golden body with medium carbonation, small, bubbly, quick dissipating head of one finger. Malty nose with slightly aromatic hops. Flavor strikes a good balance between malt and hops, no aftertaste and a well-rounded finish. Mouthfeel is what you would expect from a macro lager. None too bad.

UPDATED: SEP 13, 2007 Bottled. Bought in Salzburg.
Compact head of medium resistance. Beautiful yellow pale color, much lively and bubbly one. Fresh scent, much herbaceous with light notes of malty and cereals macerated. Fizzy and prickly taste even if lightly watery on the end. Modest bitter and alcohol content with notes barley and straw.
Earlier Rating: 8/11/2006 Total Score: 2.2
Light and vanishing foam. Yellow pale color, little shining and little bubbly. Nearly neutral scent with light notes of cereals, straw and dry grass. Medium pungent taste, lean, little balanced. Modest bitter and intangible alcohol content.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: FEB 24, 2007 Refreshing beer, little aroma but smelling of mild citrus. Small, fizzy head and golden yellow in colour. No lingering tastes and a mild but enjoyable flavour of citrus and other indistinguishable tones.
Not what I expected, but good nonetheless. Overall, an above average beer I’d enjoy on a warm day.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
500 mL can. (Not sure if I’m putting this in the right place. There’s nothing on the can but "Stiegl Bier." The Beer Store website says it’s an ale!?! I dunno. Seems to fit here.) It’s gold, medium head, smells grainy, with a bit of citrus. Tastes sweet, some malt, no hops.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
One of the 3 Stiegls I tried in Salzburg. Golden color, citric flavours and aromas. Not a bad lager at all.
