Tall can 500ml with red lettering. I actually was in Salzburg earlier this year during Oktoberfest in Munchen, took a day trip. Found they had this in cans at trains station had one on way back to munchen. Sort of a flat average tasting beer, not much character, but does the trick. I say half and half.

Purchased on tap at the Donauschwaben Oktoberfest in the Colerain Township suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio - This is a great, near-textbook example of a Salzberg brew (even though it was marked as a Helles on the beer mrnu).! Good stuff!

Bottle. Light golden, small to average and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate, malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish aroma, light grassy hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish flavor, light hoppyness. Finish is average, malty - lightly grainy and dryish, light grassy hoppyness. Dryish lager, nothing special.

The kinda beer that north American ratebeer lemmings will disrespect (cuz it ain’t an ipa or Weiss or whatever your friends tell you to like) & yet it’s also the kinda beer North American craft breweries struggle with: the euro lager. I love the design on my tall can - reminds me of the collages of surrealist Kurt shwitters (free beer trade to s/he who is a fan) - & while, like you, I prefer an ipa this *is* a decent & distinct lager

On tap at the annual Chicago Beer Society picnic, and self dispensed to a clear, plastic shaker with a hazed golden hue, and a nice hat of soft white foam. The nose was light everything, as grain, grassiness, and corn. The flavor was lightly malt sweet, low hop bitterness, light bodied, and softly carbonated. Picnic sessionable, and that’s all.

Poured into 500 ml. glass stein from tall can. Aroma: Bread, cereal malts with a rather unpleasant sourness; has that soggy white bread smell that defines too many macro pale lagers ("premium lager" my ***). Maybe a little lemony? Appearance: Well carbonated rich gold pour with bubbly white head. Flavor: Going to sound like NeoHippie here, but this stuff is pretty metallic. Usually, I’m one to say that the can doesn’t do that (anymore) but I may have to amend myself in this case. Pretty much matches the unpleasant nose otherwise. I don’t know- it kinda grown on you; the soggy bread lessens upon warming, and the lemon notes don’t seem like as much of an accident or off flavor. Palate: Full body, thick texture, fizzy carbonation, abrupt finish. Overall: Cute can.

Simpel beer, good combination of tast, don’t forget it is a pilsner, and need to be rated as a pilsner.

Clear Yellow, Small Head, Little Lacing. Typical Lager Aroma. No Surprises, Tastes like typical lager: light malt, lightly sweet, decent bitter end. The only thing, that bitter was somewhat odd and unpleasant. Drinkable. OK. Pass It...
