4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A refreshing beer with a creeping bitterness. Ubiquitous throughout Salzburg, it offers an interesting progression of flavors from fruity to bitter (without hop) as it sits on your palatte.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
(bottle) Clear yellow to golden colour with a medium frothy white head. Dusty floral hop aroma with traces of cookies. Light bodied, soft sweet flavour. Initially malty and fruity with a shy floral hoppy finish. A simple brew with a thin body but drinkable though.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle - brown 504mL. Yes, 504mL. Gold bodied with a ghost white head that disappeared like one. Aroma is malty and biscuity with light buttered bread notes and Euro hops. Grassy crispness is there as is a light citrus zest. Taste is biscuit malts, light bread dough, fresh cut grass, Euro hops and light citrus. Not bad.Body is light and refreshing. Minimal carbonation feel. What is there feels sort of seltzer-ish. Finishes bitter and dry with more hoppiness and grass coming out along with citrus, wheat, toasted malts and light buttery notes. Not bad.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle: Pale golden brew; fluffy white head, long lasting; floral and grassy hops in the nose, some well hidden traces of resin; sweetish malty beginning, very light bitter flavour, quite light bodied; shy hoppy finish. The nose promises much more the finish can prove: watery, but drinkable beer.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a very clear gold with a thin white head. Grainy aroma with hint of sulfer and apple. The lack of carbonation left this beer a bit syrupy. Very light hops gave it a bit of refreshment but it still stayed a bit sweet in the finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Deep golden with a white head. Gives a thick consistency, almost syrupy -- but a solid malt with medium bitterness.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: DEC 7, 2007 Deep coloured ‘gold beer’. Soft and full bodied with a pleasant floral aroma. A well rounded initial sweetness is followed by a mildly hoped body and a superb long lasting malt finish with a creamy soft mouth feel.
