4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Stiegl Goldbrau has a thick, fluffy, white head, a hazy, golden, bubbly appearance, filled with tiny white sediment specks, and a thick, white lacing sheen left on the glass. The aroma is of sweet, pungent, full barley malt, and the taste is of sweet, bready, biscuity barley malt, with a pleasant hop bitterness at the sip’s end. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Stiegl Goldbrau finishes semi-dry, sweet, mild, and highly drinkable. Overall, this is a great beer, and I highly recommend it! RJT

Not too many beers can boast that they provide a thirst quenching flavor. I mean when I look for flavors even in food I’m looking for thirst quenching... Second I’m looking for cold flavor... #wow

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Well, this beer certainly is "mildly hopped", "typical", a "golden colour" and has an "aftertaste". In fact, it is also somewhat "thirst-quenching". Unfortunately, it can’t, in my stupid and unnecessary opining, live up to "the enjoyment of beer at the highest level", a claim we all know belongs to Natural Ice. However, this is an inoffensive Lager, for better or worse and it exists. Also, the can art hearkens to an earlier time when the Alps were snow-covered and men climbed then merrily.

Bottled. Clear yellow color with a small white head that does not disappear immediately. Aroma of malts, light corn, and hops. Flavor is the same. Much more hoppiness than a lot of other Premium beers and there is no dominating sweetness unlike them.
Reminds me of some of the Dortmund drinks almost. Better than most Premies.

500 ml can, labelled Stiegl Bier. Very standard premium lager, a little biscuity malt, big newspaper finish.

.33l pour from chilled bottle into tulip glass. Smooth, refreshing, and drinkable. Medium body, a bit creamy. Light biscuit taste with a hint of bitterness.

2 oz sample poured into short glass from 500 ml can. I drank this yesterday while eating bratwurst and honestly can’t remember much about it. I guess I didn’t hate it or love it as far as pilsner type beers go. Will wait to comment on attributes until next time.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
The most standard and nondescript lager one could ever imagine, with no off notes or other factors. More substantial mouthfeel and body than other lagers, true, but still a very neutral beer w/slightly overhopped aftertaste
