500ml bottle. Pours a clear yellow, with a creamy off-white head. Aromas of honey and citrus (lemon), with some cereal notes. Basic Austrian template of sweet malt, and metallic hops. Decent, inoffensive, and easy drinking.

16.9 oz can from Whole Foods. Bready malt sweetness up front with a very firm bitterness and some floral and grassy hops. Crisp, yet smooth and tasty. An exemplary Euro lager.

500ml on tap. Distant hop nose. Pale amber beer with many constant fine bubbles. Small sticky white head. Light fizzy mouthfeel. Taste is earthy, grassy followed by watery insipid hops. Strange beer, starts like German lager but finishes like English mild. Not my favourite.

On draft. Clear golden color with little head. Grassy, doughy aroma. Sweet malt taste with some grass. Okay for the style.

Aroma of bread, grassy malt, hay and some hops. Pours clear golden liquid with a foamy white head. Grassy and floral flavour, light bitterness and light sweetness, tastes pretty light and fresh. Light-bodied with a very slick texture and decent carbonation. Pretty generic Lager, but very refreshing and a decent taste.

Appearance: deep clear gold, with a finger of bright white head and minimal lacing. Aroma: some lightly toasted white bread, general grainy malts, hint of grass. Taste: as the aroma indicated, with a slightly musty undertone. Finish: clean, but not terribly crisp, with just a hint of muddled cardboard. Notes: Inoffensive and easy enough to gulp down. Fail to see where this is better than, say, Miller High Life. Tallboy can from Total Wine in Fairfax, VA (Main Street).

UXO (694) - CANADA - MAR 26, 2015
Pours clear pale straw with one finger loose white head diminishing gradually to a thin skim, spotty lacing. (3/5) Nose is crackery pale malt, toast, grassy, faint fruit. (4/10) Taste is mild to moderate sweet, mild bitter. (4/10) Light bodied, moderate carbonation, crisp abrupt finish. (3/5) Pretty straightforward lager from the “cold, wet, and thirst-quenching” family. Mildly flavoured and mildly sweet, low bitter. Nothing unremarkable. (10/20)
