Can’t remember if this one was on tap or from theh bottle. Color was a cloudy, ruddy gold with a big head. Aroma of apple, bread, yeast and more bread. Flavor was quite good, surprisingly so. Bread, vanilla, yeast with some fruit notes. Some light fizziness on the palate. Very drinkable. Mild hops, but they do linger. Good stuff.

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2009 Draught at Stiegl-Keller, Salzburg. Muddy pale orange, firm creamy head. Light perfumy nose. Sweet and fruity, medium bodied. Mostly neutral, but there are some doughy malt and sugar, The mouthfeel is fairly clean. No bitterness. Not at all unpleasant, but anonymous.

Bottle. Blonde, cloudy. Dusty, flowery aroma. Dusty, papery, citric, flowery and slightly perfumed flavor. Thin. Hint of melon. Below average zwickl.

Bottle, 5.0%. Mild baking yeast aroma. Quite cloudy yellow colour, white head. The flavour is nicely yeasty, has a little bready yeastiness to it. Well-balanced. Good mouthfeel.

Bought in a Billa, Vienna, 0,5 l bottle. Nice golden-opalescent appearance with a small but delicious lacing white head. Aroma of pale malt, fine sourish yeast. Medium body, lively carbonation with a character of the style, some fresh and sourish yeast, some crude taste of the fermented wort made from pale malt. Refreshing one, nice zwickl with a balanced aftertaste includes a little hop.

Beer bought in an austrian supermarket during skitrip to Saalbach. Very clean brew. Hazy golden/yellow look with a white head. Aroma of bread and grass. Clean mouthfull and very refreshing taste, medium bitter medium sweet.

Bottle, 100% bio, naturtruub, etc. etc. Pours cloudy yellow-gold, nose is nutty and grassy. Mild bitterness cushioned by that lightly sweet nuttiness, but it shows through better when the beer is cold. Interesting and it could be much worse.

Bottled(500ml). -Hazy peach coloured, medium sized white head, light wheaty nose with touch of orange and pepper. Malty, fresh hoppy and light citric taste with pleasant hoppy finish. Refreshing and very good Zwickl.

0.5 l bottle my mum brought from Linz, thanks! It had murky lighter yellow body with medium sized head and few bigger yeast particles floating inside. Really nice aroma, kinda weak but with that subtle honey maltiness and grapefruit hops. Flavor was also tasty, somewhat malty, slightly orange bitterish, yeasty notes, but a bit watery. Fine finish follows the taste, but I was sorry for some strange dryness near its end. Anyway, it would be a great refresher for a summertime and it was perfectly getting along with special burek Doggythedog’s mother made this evening :) The best Zwickl I’ve tried so far!
