December 2010. Bottle. Aromas of straw, malt and hops. Pale yellow with a white head. Good balance and a light hoppy finish.

Tap: pale, clear yellow pour with then white head. Aromas of grass, bisquit, hay, honey and a bit of grain. Flavor is sweet with honey, dusty with bisquit and hay, and a little tartness comes in with the grass and grain. For me this beer was an excellent pilsner... Flavorful, easy to drink, and surprising.

Bottle at home, this rating is more for my own list I have had this beer earlier this year before i started taking notes. What I remember: i liked it, wasn’t very special but drinkable.

Bright yellow frothy fast dissipation..Aroma of wheat and honey grapes. Tastes watery mostly just wheat and some herbal hops. Light carbonation. I think I would taste more with more carbonation.

Canette 500ml. De couleur dorée et claire. Nez de houblon herbeux (gazon, notes de foin), de grains de malt pâle avec des traces de pain et de fruits (zeste de citron). Mince en bouche avec un pétillement plutôt élevé ainsi qu’une texture aux faibles notes huileuses. Goût de grains de malt pâle moyennement croustillants avec de faibles notes fruitées (zeste de citron) lors de l’entrée en bouche suivi d’un léger goût de pain avec des notes de maïs sucré puis en finale un léger houblon herbeux asséchant (gazon, notes de foin) vient s’installer. Post-goût moyen-court et un peu sec, légèrement amer de houblon herbeux avec quelques notes florales. (2005)

Pours clear and golden, big white head, and had very light carbonation. Had a very sweet aroma, and a bit grainy. Was sweet on the tongue, with a noticeable hop bite, and a sweet aftertaste. Surprised by the low ratings, this is better than the ratings suggest.

Very nice Pils. Light golden color, good head retention, nice bitter hops flavor. No perceptible aromatic hops, which I like. This is one of the few Pilseners made outside of Germany which really stands up well in the style. More character and hop taste than mainstream German PIlseners like Warsteiner, Beck´s and König. The only problem is that it is not well known outside of Austria and tends to stay on the shelf a long time. So finding a fresh bottle may be a problem.

This stuff looked a little thin. Maybe my bottle was going flat but the carbonation was weak, though the beer headed well. The malt profile and hops character were on point for the style. I was a bit disappointed, expecting something great and getting something good.

Pours a slightly hazy, straw-yellow with a white, foamy head and lots of sticky lacing . Smells of cereal grain, spicy hops and fresh cut flowers. Tastes of clean and sweet, malty flavors followed by a subtle, but unmistakable dose of Saaz hop bittering. Mouthfeel was surprisingly full-bodied and low carbonation with a nice buttery feel after swallowing. Long bitter-sweet aftertaste. Sweet, malty flavours are even more pronounced after it warms up a little. Overall, one of the best German-style Pilsners I’ve ever had.

Poured clear, light, straw golden with a short, but well-retained white head. . Light-bodied and refreshing on the palate.
