A very nice pils, refreshing, not skunked which is nice, looks great in the glass and has decent flavor. Comes in a cool six pack of oversized bottles.

500 ml can. Pale golden colour with a frothy thick, lasting white head. Aroma is very grass and hay-like. Light spicy Saaz aroma and clean pale malt. Nice sweet malt up front with bright lemon and spicy Saaz flavour. Medium-bodied and quite refreshing. A big surprise.

On tap. Aroma has faint noble hops, sulphur, smells like it came out of a can. Clear golden color, lasting white head. Weak malt and hop flavors, watery, slight bitterness. I really like a good pilsener, and this is definitely not good.

On tap a the Maproom. I don’t know why this is rated so low. This is nice pilsner. Clear light golden with good head and some lacing. Grassy aroma. Nice balaced flavor with medium body. Spicy/grassy bitterness with a clean finish. Nice.

I’m a bit biased, as I have fond memories of drinking bottles of this brought in from Austria by one of the guys in the German House in college. One of my earlier exposures to non-BMC beer. Really not a bad place to start for that matter. Clear golden, nice head, good lacing. Pleasant grassy aroma, with a touch of grain. Wonderfully clean flavor of pilsner malt, and floral, grassy hop finish. Touch herbal as well. Really pleasant. An almost pure expression of beer.

Pale straw color with a thick white head. Nice lacing. Spicy hop aroma. Fairly light body followed by a nice crisp finish. Pils are on the lighter end of the beers that I enjoy, but this is an exellent example of the style.

Just came across my notes from last summer (RBSG04): Very clear and light golden with a lofty, bleached-white head. Smooth and soft with moderate carbonation. Light malts (grainy); dry and light; very little sweetness. Hops were flowery, spicy and herbal. A little snappy bitterness shows up in the aftertaste. Not a bad pils.

Not sure what’s wrong with the rest of you, but this one’s not bad. Great carbonation, big rocky head, strong hoppy bite, (very refreshing), with a crisp finish. And it came in a 17oz bottle so I didn’t have to keep flagging down the waiter! Come to my rescue here, CORNFIELD!

UGH! It is a rare beer that I actually pour down the drain rather than drink, but this was one of them. It was insipid, uninspiring and plain watery, with virtually zero taste, with the little taste not being dissimilar to sucking on dead grass. Horrible.
