4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Koelschtrinker (6544) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 6, 2011

500 can. Pours a crystal clear medium gold with a loose white head that falls quickly away to nothing. Not much lace. Pretty big nutty, corny, grassy nose. Creamy light-medium body with wooly carb. Toast, corn, nuts, grass, and a bit of cracker on the mid-palate. Lingering crackery finish. Pretty nice.

Pours light straw with malt notes. Sweet malt drive the flavor with rounded light bouts of hops at the end.

One of the most weird lagers I ever tried. I have tried it many times and I still cant get the taste of it. Its a regular lager pils, but I can find some soapiness in its taste. In general I like it...but I find it hard to replace my regular lager.

I’m assuming this Pilsner is the same as the one that is just labeled "Bier." If so, then I detect a slight note of carmel and some wheaty graininess rather than a hoppy presence. Very smooth and crisp. This tastes more like a Kolsch-- or maybe even a low key Marzen-- than a European pilsner.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 FeDo2010 (18) - , NETHERLANDS - APR 12, 2011
Another beer in our pilsener taste evening. Pours a typical golden pilsener color, with a nice high head. Smell is full of barley and malts. Taste is strong malts, relatively sweet for the style, and some hidden bitterness in the end. Nice beer, but bit too sweet for the style
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Frothmeister (234) - Ontario, CANADA - APR 12, 2011
On tap at brewery. Pale yellow with a large foamy white head. Aroma is mostly lemon citrus, and malt, with a little hop. Taste is bitter and crisp, with metallic hops, sweet malt, and a heavy mineral note in the finish. Clean, crisp easy drinking stuff.

Bottle. Golden yellow pour with thick white head. Floral bouquet. Light to medium body, malty with a hop edge. Bitter finish. A bit of unpleasant greasiness that went away as the beer warmed
