Enjoyment of first-rate beer with a pleasant hoppy character. Straw-colored and warm amber glow, pleasantly sparkling with a dry body. Using the aromatic hops from the Mühlviertel region, it entices you with a bouquet of fresh hops and a distinctive bitter finish. 11.4°

Good times in Salzburg 10+ years ago... One of the better Austrian macros - cash, bottle, plastic cup, at the brewery... Nice, clean, hoppy and somewhat round&sweet classic pilsener that e.g. reminds me of what Belgian Jupiler used to be, years ago

Turhake Alkossa.

Pours light yellow with a soap bubble white head. Aroma of malt grain, hay, maybe a little toast. Flavor is light sweet, malty, grain, hay, grass, toast. Medium body, average carbonation. I don’t get the low ratings for this beer. This beer completely nails the style, right malt, right malt, infinitely drinkable, delicious.

Six pack from CBC in Amesbury. I bought this accidentally thinking it was the grapefruit radler. It’s a very pale golden lager. Light crisp malts and low hopping. Very generic and nothing special at all.

From Hipercor Sevilla Este. In Bavaria glass. Playing Bleed. A german pilsner just how I like them. Very drinkable, malty and tasty, without anything offplace

Pours a white color. About 3 fingers, we’ll call it light yellow head. It’s well carbonated. Not so filtered, there’s sediment in there. Excellent head retention, good lacing. The head is so thick, it’s like whipped cream. Wow!!

Aroma is graham cracker, and sweet. Maybe a touch of lemon. Maybe a touch of honey. Not a lot of hops on the nose.

Taste is kinda creamy. It has a one-two balance. By that, I mean its sweet, but immediately following that is an equal counter spicy hop bitterness. Interesting.

Mouthfeel is medium, perhaps medium-full. It’s creamy, smooth, and balanced. While that’s fine, it could stand to be a little more hop heavy.

Overall, this is a fine pils. Perhaps a little out of norm for a pils, but still mighty good. If you haven’t had it, you should try it. I recommend it, and I would buy it again.

On tap at Krah Krah, Vienna. Pours a clear, yellow straw colour with a nice white head. Aroma of grain as well as grassy hops. Taste of sweet malts, grains and grassy hops, but very moderate. Light body with medium carbonation. Drinkable.

On tap at Stiegl Brauwelt, Salzburg, Austria. Very lively in glass, bubbles. Big creamy white head, clear pale golden. Grain, grass, hops, Saaz I guess. Malty and sweet. Medium taste. Some citrus in the finish. Good pilsner.

Appearance: clear pale straw with one finger of fine white head diminishing gradually to a thin cap, patchy lacing. (3/5) Aroma: grassy, grainy pale malt. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, mild bitter. (6/10) Palate: light body, moderate carbonation, crisp lightly bitter finish. (3/5) Decent, if not very exciting. Clean grassy hops and grainy pale malt, with a light body and crisp finish. Fine with lunch. (12/20)

500 ml can bought in a Billa un Vienna. Crappy golden look with bad grainy smell. Tastes likes hangover, but i guess it’s ok. Strong palate. MEH
