3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 ALLOVATE (1534) - Butler, WA, AUSTRALIA - NOV 24, 2011
Bright, medium gold with clinging, soda-pop carbonation and a loose, depleting, sudsy white heat. Delicate Noble hop nose with inklings of chaff, dried mown grass, honey and toasted malt. Initially quit dry in the mouth, clean toasted grains, quite gritty, with, spicy, herbaceous and dusty hop background that gives it a moderately bitter swallow. Ends quite short, crisp, the body holding light and the carbonation adequate of style. A little sweet biscuit develops as it warms. The hops begin to flourish also, getting more pronounced as the glass empties. Keeps good though, a very easy drinking number that neither here nor there. It’s only real let down is its appearance.
