A fine, lively type of beer, with a bouquet produced by premium quality Saaz hops to stimulate the senses - that’s Stiegl Pils. 11.6°

Bottle. Grassy and hoppy aroma. The taste is crisp and clean. Some metallic taste in there, along with a slight bit of hops and a bit of a bad aftertaste. The aroma isn’t as "smelly" as some are saying with this bottle. Overall pretty solid for a Pilsner, crisp and light enough to be a session beer. 4.9% abv.

Pint can pours a clear pale straw/yellow with a very large foamy white head. Aroma of a nice dry pils yeast and malt with spicy grassy hops. Taste of empty boring flat caramel malt with faint hops and bitterness on the finish. Really disappointed in the taste. But the aroma is almost exactly what I look for in a nice Pilsener.

Pale clear strawy body, white fluffy deutschhh head, richhhhh lacing. Aroma; fresh grassy hops, juicy wort, caramel malts, faint sweet lemon. Taste; fresh grassy hops, bread, juicy fruity malts, some apple, some citrus. Finishes surprisingly juicy for a pilsener. Normal body and carbonation. Overall good pilsener, also without dinner. Aroma: Light sweet grains with a lemon grass hop presence that leans towards grass. Malts maybe a little sweeter than you’d want a Pils to be. Appearance: Pale gold pour with a foamy white head that settles into a skin. Flavor: When cold, a solid balance up front with grass and lightly sweet malts; there’s a rubbery quality that develops mid-palate, which becomes increasingly more unpleasant as the beer warms. The finish is slightly bitter lemon. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation, slightly bitter finish. Overall: Pretty disappointed in this; was purported to be a pretty fresh batch, but there was just something off here. Can’t recommend this to anyone. 16 oz. can.

Decided to branch out and try some crappy beer from over seas. Clear pale yellow pour with a slight white head. Decent lacing. Aroma is of grape skins. Taste is slightly metallic and slightly bitter. Medium high carb. Lighter body.

Draught at Sternzeichen/Wien3. Quite good Pils. Pleasant, not too strong bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

50cl Bottle brought from Austria, thanks dad! Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of light-bready malts, grass, light herbal. Flavour is light to medium sweet, malty, light bready, grassy bitter finish with light herbal notes. Light-bodied. OK Pils.

Sample at Buckeye Beer Engine on 9/14/14. Clear yellow pour with a thick white head. Aroma of malt, slight lemon and crisp noble hop. Malt and lemon flavor with a crisp, bitter noble hop finish.

Bottle from Interspar Kufstein. The beer pours out in a clear deep golden colour with airy steady head and medium to crisp body. Aroma of bitter hops and citrus. Taste of bitter hops, light malt, grass, citrus fruits and rain. Refreshing with a medium bitter finish. Drinkable, yet nothing special.

I really like this beer!! All I know is the first taste was refreshing not bitter and no heavy or nasty aftertaste. It paired well with goulash, roast pork with potato dumplings, bratwurst on a kaiser roll and a good old ham sandwich. Had all these fine foods while staying in Salzburg...
