COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Enjoyment of first-rate beer with a pleasant hoppy character. Straw-colored and warm amber glow, pleasantly sparkling with a dry body. Using the aromatic hops from the Mühlviertel region, it entices you with a bouquet of fresh hops and a distinctive bitter finish. 11.4°

UPDATED: NOV 15, 2009 Import keg draft Enjoyed this in a heated tent at Chicago’s downtown Kristkindl Market. For a pilsener, it’s kind of light on the malts. There’s a thin but persistent head, a straw colored body with bubbles that don’t stop. Clean lager taste with a light hop balance, not as pronounced as, say, a Pilsner Urquell. Still, nice to have.

4/18/2015 (bottle): Grainy, grassy, crisp, and clean. Classic Austrian Pils. This definitely takes me back to my three months spent in Austria in late 2000. I still enjoy this beer quite a bit, but slightly prefer the Stiegl Goldbräu.

A real Austrian Pilsner (Pilsener?). This is getting very close to the original source, and I like it.

Bottle. Clear golden color with a nice head. Aroma is hay, dough, grass. Taste is pleasantly bitter with hay and bread in the flavor.

15.7.2014. Very light clear, like white wine. Aroma has some citrus, grain, sth sweet. Body is light to medium, malts, grain, slight lemon and sweetness, bitter finish. Dryish and slightly hoppy pils.

This is getting a better rating due to the fact I am drinking it on a mountain skiing in 55 degree weather. 16oz can at Viking yurt in park city. Malty and crappy.

16.9 oz can from Whole Foods. Pale golden yellow with a foamy white head. Taste of sweet cereal grains and freshly baked white bread up front. Floral hoppiness along with a grassy backbone takes over. The carbonation is lively. The body is light with a dry finish. The flavor is well balanced, creamy yet crisp and clean. An exemplary pilsener.

Sweet, grainy malt, and floral aroma. Similar flavor -- with more sweetness, and a sweeter aftertaste.

Pint can pours a clear pale straw/yellow with a very large foamy white head. Aroma of a nice dry pils yeast and malt with spicy grassy hops. Taste of empty boring flat caramel malt with faint hops and bitterness on the finish. Really disappointed in the taste. But the aroma is almost exactly what I look for in a nice Pilsener.
