3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Enjoyed on the rooftop of Gene's Sausage Shop in Chicago, IL in tallboy form. I'd be damned if there's a better alcoholic beverage to enjoy on a warm summer day. I can't comment on appearance, but aroma is like a light lemony sparkling water / soda. Taste is crisp and refreshing, light tart, moderate carbonation. It's mostly soda/juice with beer added (not vice versa), but damn is it good for the weather.

500 ml can. BB 03/01/2015. (Merkur) Seiersberg, Austria.
Hazy greyish yellow colour with a tiny white head.
Lemon, grapefruit and mild malt in the aroma.
Quite natural lemon and grapefruit in the flavour with some mild sweetness, mild bitterness and notes of malt.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Cloudy pale yellow. The aroma is very nice. Grapefruit and lemon, like Fresca. The taste is too sweet for me. Exactly like Fresca. Sticky sweet finish.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can. Pours a cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma of grapefruit. (duh) Flavor is sweet grapefruit and light wheat. Very enjoyable. Wouldn’t be near strong enough for my grandfather who loved fresca and vodka.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is a really tasty beverage. Its hazy pale yellow without head and tastes like a sprite/mountain dew mix but with real juice instead corn syrup and chemicals. Its quite refreshing and the grapefruit finish is the icing on the cake. Better than beer when its hotter than 2 rats ***ing in a wool sock.

Drank from a can, thanks Ehren! New to Missouri, my first time trying it. A blend of light lager with carbonated grapefruit juice. Raddler is apparently German for cyclist, referring to its use as a sports drink over there. Nice, light, spritzy, grapefruity. A tasty summer refreshment, but I don’t think I’d want this residual sweetness while exercising. In any case, I could drink a lot of it on a hot day. A fun little oddball to try.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Can. This reminded a lot of that fancy San Pelagrino carbonated water. With all the different kinds of lemon, peach, and grapefruit. I like those waters. and this beer was pretty good too, but it tastes of grapefruit and soda water. Maybe it is the low ABV that you taste nothing else. More of a novelty than a beer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
(On tap) Pours a cloudy straw yellow with one finger of frothy white head and no lacing. Nose is tangy grapefruit against a malty wheat background. Taste follows suit, crisp and tangy. Mouth feel is light and crisp, with pleasant carbonation.
This is quite pleasant - a nice shandy to have at a company lunch. The sweetness got to be a bit much after two, though.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Smells like sweet mild grapefruit soda. Taste is sweet same, all without being artificial. Slightly cloudy pale beery look about it. Good soda sizzle as well. Could easily drink a sixer of these if the sugar don’ attack my tummy. Cannot find many, if any, bad things about the taste of this brew. Overall very good beery soda experience. Mild grapefruit soda pop finish. Very well done for a fruit beer JMHO.

This shit is blowing up stateside. Also popular is a cocktail of this stuff and gin poured over ice. This flavor combo works because the flavor of this is more or less the same as Squirt soda. You could also probably mix it w/ rum, brandy or vodka. It seems like a great mixer. As a beer, I am going to call it only OK. As mentioned, it tastes like grapefruit soda only less carbonated and slightly dryer. It is definitely a few steps above the Leinenkugel equivalent which is also gaining in popularity. The only real detectable beer character I’m getting is maybe, maybe some bitterness in the finish. Then again, grapefruit is bitter too so it might just be that. Personally, I will stick to mixing these on my own or, better yet, just drinking Stiegl Pils.
