I know, I know, I shouldn’t like this so much, but dammit , if this isn’t the perfect summer brew, there isn’t one. Aroma reminds me of the sour, grapefruit gummy candies. Flavor is slightly sweet grapefruit, with a refreshing blast of acidity to balance it all out. Sadly I confess, I’m going to be drinking more of these throughout the summer.

Can at Doner Bistro - pours cloudy pale yellow with a ton of white foam that vanishes as it settles. Aroma is big grapefruit with some seltzer notes. Taste is the sour sweet of grapefruit soda. It tastes great, but the beer aspect is nonexistent.

Can from Doener Bistro. Pours yellow with an inch of white head that leaves no lacing. This stuff is more grapefruit soda than beer but it smells like grapefruit and its not as sweet as soda. Finishes clean. This is kinder beer but it tastes better than BMC.

Pours a super hazy yellow color, similar to orange juice. No head. Smell is straight up grapefruit, and nothing else. Taste is basically what you’d expect from a grapefruit soda, though there is a mild malt flavor present. It’s actually really good, but definitely not something to drink if you want a regular beer. Makes me wish it were warmer out. First time I’ve said that this July. Refreshing!

This is actually very decent - a lot more than you would think. Grapefruit is very well integrated. Smells like the fruit with soft carbonation. Nice bit of the fruit without being too sour. Integrated astringency. Tall can.

Bottle shared by a friend. Clear yellow pour with a medium white head. Aroma of grapefruit soda, malt and lemon. Sweet malt flavor with character of peach and grapefruit before a sweet soda finish.

Can. Cloudy light straw with foamy bright white head. Aroma is grapefruit, lemon, sweet, some light breadiness. Taste is sweet sour grapefruit, lemon, light toast and cereal grain character. Light and spritzy, crisp carbonation, very soda like. Refreshing, and a great combination of beer grain character with the grapefruit soda.

Can. Very hazy yellow pour, minimal carbonation and an aroma of vibrant fresh grapefruit. Flavor is like that of a Squirt(tm) soda, citrusy, fizzy and sweet and very sugary tart on the finish. Very enjoyable low alcohol brew.

Amusing pour is squeezed fruit with nary a cap to be found. Aroma of grapefruit pop. Shawna spies me sipping on a grapefruit beer & hijacks the review process. Whereas I find the whole thing kind of funny, she now thinks there’s a beer she can finally tolerate. Which may be the key here. A cider alternative perhaps. Can’t deny this is refreshing & has a enjoyable briskness to it. You’ll need to drink one of these every 9 minutes -- or drop a shot in it -- if you need to get a buzz on.

I had this at Global Brew. It smells of citrus, very light citrus taste. Pretty good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
