On tap at The Bent Elbow. Yellow and cloudy with a half-inch head. Aroma is a citrus explosion. The taste is mostly citrus fruit - only mild beer characteristics. Enjoyable, but would get a higher score on a ratesoda.com than a ratebeer.com.

Tall boy can. Cloudy with the aroma of grapefruit. Huge carbonation. Lots of grapefruit taste. Hard to say this is a beer, more like a grapefruit soda. Interesting though and very easy to drink.

Draft at uber. Fresca with some toasted malts as well. So damned refreshing and delicious, perfect on a beautiful sunny Sunday like today. I would happily make this concoction my regular summer beer-drink if I knew where to find it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mostly clear dull yellow, spritzy white head vanishes. Lovely aroma of honey grapefruit. Sweet honey lemon grapefruit juice taste. Softly carbed, light bodied, no hopped. Stellar summer refresher, more of a cooler than a beer. Yummy! LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

Lady friend of mine mentioned some grapefruit beer, which sounded semi-intriguing, so I snatched this up. Didn’t read that it’s mostly soda, but then it was too late. For a grapefruit soda...it was fantastic! For a beer it was sugared out, fruity, and bubbled like...well...a soda. Duh. Interesting conception, especially for an alcoholic soda. Probs won’t buy again if I see it.

appearance: yellowish pink, fizzy and vanishing white head. aroma: tart grapefruit with a hint of pilsner. taste: tart and dry, but slightly sweet grapefruit (feels like soda vs juice), with just a hint of peppery, grassy hops and a slight crackery pils/lager note. finish: lingering grapefruit soda sweetness, prickly carb. notes: Yup, super refreshing and delicious. Drank it almost too fast to truly appreciate it. Literally a perfect beer on a hot summer day. Bottle from the Beer & Wine Cellar in Rockville, Maryland.

16 oz. can, given to me by Tim. Hazy, pale yellow, with a big, off-white head. Sharp grapefruit aroma, with some banana, yogurt, and cloves. Very sweet and a little sour, with a bit of bitterness. Light to medium body, creamy, and very acidic. This is a pretty nice radler, but overly acidic and bitter, and the hefeweizen character is lacking.

Pours a light hazy golden yellow with a dissipating white head and strong aroma of grapefruit and lemon. Taste is sour and sweet, grapefruit and lemon dominating the flavor, while very light and goes down easy. Good for a hot day, not much more.
