Taster glass. I think we may want to separate true Radlers from fruit beers, as a finished beer with juice or soda added before packaging is a different animal than one fermented with fruit. For one, this is intended to be low-alcohol, and for two, it’s not fair to be comparing this to a DFH Fort. That said, this is pretty tasty. Does not hide the fact that it’s light in alcohol, though probably the grapefruit adds some sugar calories. In fact, it does have a bit of an added sugar taste that might have been meant to keep the grapefruit from souring up the works. Not a world-beater, but recommended if I were ever actually "on the go."

Hazy yellow with a fizzy white head which dissipates quickly. Aroma is big citrus, notably grapefruit. Flavor is big lemon, with a bit of grapefruit in the finish. Pretty effervescent and very sweet. Almost like a citrus soda. Nice for midday drinking.

It tastes like alcoholic grapefruit juice. Tasty but can only do one glass. Carbonation is quite strong.

Can at 16-Bit, poured into a pint glass. Forgot to look at the size, but I’m guessing 500 ml. I don’t know for sure. I also hadn’t looked this up for a few years because I thought I already rated it. I first saw it hit the Cincy market when our pregnant friend used it as her go-to at restaurants. Her kid is at least 2 by this point. Pours a hazy fruit juice color with a bubbly head that fizzes out immediately. Notes of ruby red grapefruit, sugars, mild spice, wheat, and lemon-lime soda. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a sweet, fruity, citrusy mouthfeel. Good. In fact, I liked it as much as its Schofferhofer counterpart, which I enjoyed quite a bit. That one had a better nose, but this one has a better flavor.

UPDATED: OCT 11, 2015 Aroma is grapefruit, sour, rind, pretty much just grapefruit. Appearance is pale yellow, thin, white head. Taste is grapefruit, lemonade, oddly thin and finishes with a wheat finish. Could’ve done without the end there. Mouthfeel is crisp but then drops off too quickly. Overall, got the radler out of the way.

Very sweet fruit soda aroma. Milky white body with minimal head. Sweet flavour with hints of wheat. Not balanced and too sugary all around.

500ml can. (2.5% ABV) Pours a cloudy, pale yellow with an average, fizzy, short lived, white head. Aroma of sweet grapefruit. Sweet flavour of grapefruit and a hint of lemon with a lightly bitter, dry finish. Light body with a watery texture and fizzy carbonation. Thirst quenching on a hot day but more like a soda than a beer.

16oz can pours opaque cloudy pale yellow with tiny head that fizzes out. Nose is tart acidic grapefruit juice and lemon. Taste is light bodied, pretty much straight sour grapefruit juice with some lemony cracker. Finishes sweet, sour grapefruit, lemon, lime, light cracker. As advertised.

500 ml can bought at CitySuper in New Town Plaza, Shatin.

Cloudy hazy light straw grapefruit yellow colour; Three-quarter finger head with soapy white foam which fades in 40 seconds; Poor sticky lacing and fairly fizzy carbonation; Strong aroma of grapefruit soda, with grapefruit juice, orange soda and fructose; Medium sweet taste of moderate malt, with grapefruit soda, strong grapefruit juice, strong carbo, light sugar and hint of grass; Close to light body. Juicy thick palate; Mouth feel is thickish grapefruit juice and soda blanket the otherwise notable fair beer maltyness. The fruit is real, very fresh and pulpy, feels like liquid grapefruit gracing the otherwise much malaised style. Nice!... Hoppiness is near zero in nose. Light herbs and really thin grass in taste. Bitterness is hidden to for an abrupt, thinly astringent fruity-sweet finish; Wet after taste. Very fruity and very easy to mouth.

Comments: The grapefruit content is pound-for-pound, so the resulting radler has more juicy grapefruit than the usual damp lemon beermix. Malt is not obvious in aroma but expressive in taste. This is real, bright and fruity, and really enjoyable. Love it!

Can. lots of grapefruit aroma and flavor, didn’t realize it was so light in abv mostly because I had it by the campfire. Interesting.
