This fruit beer poured a cloudy light yellow colour with a minimal head. Scents include grapefruit, grapefruit and more grapefruit. First swig was medium carbonated with flavours of grapefruit. Quite sweet, reminds me of the old pop "Wink". Finish is fruity with a very sweet palate.

330 ml bottle from Woodman’s in Janesville, WI, served cold in a pint glass. Hazy pale gold, moderate fizzy head dying quickly to nothing...nose of fairly ripe, slightly sour grapefruit, very faint malt, a touch of pungent herbal character...very sweet initially, juicy and fruity, with only the faintest tart character, a decent bit of pale malt can be detected underneath, gradually developing a bit greater tartness or sourness towards the finish which is still fairly juicy and sweet going down...lightly syrupy, full body, moderate carbonation. I like grapefruit, and grapefruit juice, quite a bit, so this was certainly drinkable, but the sweetness is nearly cloying - it would be better with a bit more carbonation and dryness at the finish, and more than a hint of tartness. Still, not bad.

Pale yellow pour with short-lived white foam. Light grainy and citrus aroma. Taste is mildly sour with grapefruit zest bitterness. Mildly carbonated, thin bodied, and refreshing. Finishes dry (surprisingly) and not too sweet as the grapefruit character carries though. Very drinkable, and I can see why it has been the choice of bike tourists!

Pours a hazy straw colour with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet grapefruit and lemon zest. Taste is slightly cracker with the malt, but really overshadowed by sweet and mildly tart grapefruit. Light body, high carbonation. I really like this, for a radler.

Can. Hazy straw yellow in colour with medium carbonation. Aroma is singleminded sweet grapefruit cough drops. Flavors are of artificial sweet pink grapefruit and a bit of wheat. Weightier on the palate than expected, but there is enough tartness for a modicum of balance.

Can. Pours a cloudy, straw-yellow with a huge frothy white head that fades away quickly in a pint glas, leaving nothing but a small bubbly rim. Aroma of grapefruit pulp, hay, bitter grapefruit zests, herbal hops. Nice! Taste is actually quite dry - a good quality in a Radler if you ask me. Only light sweetness in the background, but mostly tart. Pretty soon dominated by a nice, light bitter finish with a reprise of grapefruit zest and herbal hops. Body is cloudy, medium, lively carbonated but not fizzy. Not watery at all.
I never liked Radler all that much, but I had to see what all the fuzz on american beer blogs is about. Not too sweet, not watery. Bubbly, but not dominated by fizzy carbonation. Some reviewers state that this has no beer characteristics. I disagree. From the first nose, there were clear beer notes. Clear herbal notes and hop bitterness. This is a Radler I could get used to.

(1920-140816)

Can, 0.5l. Hazy yellow pour with minimal and short lasting white head. Smells very refreshing, grapefruit and lemonade, touch of orange peel. Body falls between thin and medium, smooth texture. Carbonation is soft yet prickly enough to put emphasis on the refreshing citrus flavor. Taste is fruity bittersweet. Aroma is fruity - grapefruit, lemonade, mixed citrus. There is no usual soapy and sugary water flavors in here, it has more natural taste. Some slight malts flavor is present in the aftertaste. Overall, very good radler. Sure, it’s not much of a beer, feels more like a soda - but it is damn tasty and refreshing drink. Perfect for hot summer days. Recommended.

Can drink, so no info on color / foam. Smell is intense grapefruit. Sweet aspects, but not overly so. Taste is rather bitter, very sharp fruityness. Dry ( fruity ) ending. Light body, as expected by a 2 % drink. not too shabby though. I’d dare to compare this to the Breezer-drinks that used to be immensly popular a decade ago. Just like them, they are very easy to drink, and far from bad taste-wise. However, the discussion is big on wether this could be called ’ beer’

Cloudy and lemon-colored with a fluffy, meringue head that thins quickly. The nose has grapefruit and lemonade. Easy intro with a mildly-carbonated mouthfeel and finishing with mild grapefruit and lemon drops.
