COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The original Stieglbock is a powerful finely hopped and traditional Bockbier – the Berman term for strong beer – indicating a bottom-fermenting brew from barley malt. Brewed in August, the fermentation process lasts three months which produces a golden color beer with taste and strengths varying from year to year. This beer is perfect for beer lovers who prefer bold types of beer. 16.5 Plato

Bottle shared @ weekly tasting. Clear dark golden color, virtually no head. Smell and taste malts, grainy, a touch of apple juice and leaves. A bit weird combination, but it’s decent enough. Doesn’t really taste like most heller bocks I’ve had though.

33cl. Aroma of lemon and honey. Roasty malt, citrus/fruity hopps and some oak bark. Dark golden clear pour. Small head, medium carbonation. Medium body, and as its weaker sibling is smooth and creamy. Alcohol is well hidden. Enjoyable heller bock. 33cl is absolutely enough.

Bottle: Pours hazy, light amber-brown with a sparse, off-white head. Sweet, bready aroma. Taste is watery barley, sweet....followed by a harsh, grainy bitter. malty... Not pleasant.
