...bottle into weizen. Well, I didn’t really care for this one, had a weird cork flavor, and not much else. Some malt, was a light cloudy brown, pretty dry. There was some light wheat malt in there, and it finished dry with a weird aftertaste. Not sure what the deal was.

500ml bottle. Golden with tall white head. Aroma is completely dominated by ripe bananas but also has some citrus, typical wheat notes and a hint of cloves and spicy yeast. Taste is surprisingly refreshing given the aroma and dominated by citrus and cloves with wheat and spicy yeast in the background, the dominant ripe bananas from the aroma are nowhere to be foind. The mouthfeel is quite light and maybe a little thin, the carbonation medium and the aftertaste minimal.

500ml bottle in Blef Bar No. 2, Ljubljana (€3.60):
A pretty good wheat beer. The beer was quite a nice one that went down easily with a good balance, the banana & clove sweetness going well with the citrus flavours that followed. Definitely an enjoyable Austrian wheat beer & one I’d be tempted to pick up again if I found it in the UK but it’s not quite a standout offering.

Tåkete mørkt gyllent med høyt hvitt skum. Lukt av fersken, banan, krydder og gress med en liten sur snert. Frukt og gjær dominerer smaken som også er litt sur mot slutten. behagelig karbonisering.

Pours a hazy dark golden color, topped with a hefty white frothy head. Wheaty aroma, some bananas and fruity notes, a bit yeasty. Taste is sweet, wheaty and a bit bready. Some very mild spices, and gentle soury feel. A decent weizen.

Big offwhite head. Hazy orange body with strong carbonation. Fruity mealy spicy aroma with dusty notes. Fruity spicy mealy taste with orangey notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish papery fruity spicy aftertaste with earthy chalky notes. Nice, drinkable, perhaps a bit chalky. (0.5l bottle, from Systembolaget Karlstad.)
